  • Airport backscatter uses a sweeping x-ray beam like CT, the intense beam rapidly sweeps you from head to toe with most of the damage is done to the skin.

A large radiation dose symptoms of red skin and hair loss is common, as seen in this video.

We at Rocky Flats Gear feel the scanners are far to dangerous to expecting mothers, children, fair skin persons and people with a BRCA1 gene defect for general security. To learn how to protect your self check out our utube channel. Jeff

  • Why don't you report on the radiation danger frequent travelers will be in when they are digitally strip searched every time they fly!

  • the effects of the backscatter technology is a little too new to have just been released to the general public though. rapiscan also states on their website that they reserve the right to change specs without notification. do you REALLY think that if they find the backscatter and milimeter wave technology is harmful that the shareholders of rapiscan will allow that to get out?

  • Technology used in CT scanner and body scanner are different. Rapiscan Body scanner use backscatter technology having very very low radiation.the heading given to this video is misleading and not correct.Typical exposure levels that can be experienced with Different types of X-ray systems and some naturally occurring sources.Medical CT (CAT Scan):Up to 1,000,000 microRem

Airline Passenger Dose One hour flight: Up to 500 microRem per hour.Rapiscan Secure 1000:Less than 10 microRem per exam
