Hello, to all...TDjakes is yet the messenger and the messenger is not our focus,friends.It is there where sheep become lost. He is preaching about a GOD that is yours and mine. He is preaching about a GOD that needs no jury of our peers to render a verdict. A GOD that IS JUDGE and JURY and the verdict is rendered by GOD ALONE. So,just as we go to our favorite place to eat we dont focus on the chef. We focus on the FOOD(WORD) and through that we ARE and our hunger IS satified.

I agree with 1 Corinth. 13. But nowhere in this verse does it say that love is not judging others. Judgment is actually commanded of us. "A spiritual man judges all things, yet he himself is judged rightly by no one." 2 Corinth. 2:15. In Matthew 7, when Jesus discusses judging, He does not say not to judge. He says not to judge hypocritically. "First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." Matt. 7:5....

I agree with you that the pastors of churches are living in hypocrisy...that is one of the reasons why I do not attend the modern day church building. But there are people out there who truly do seek after the Lord with all their mind, heart, soul and strength. There are people out there who have repented (stopped sinning) and walk in the light as Jesus is in the light. It's sad that you won't find most of those people in the "church" building, but we are out there.

You are right...except for one thing....that we shouldn't judge homosexuals. 1 Corinthians 2:15 says, "A spiritual man judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one." If there is a plank in our eye, then of course we can't judge another in that situation....but if we do not have a plank in our eye, then we can see clearly to help our brother remove his speck. Judgment is loving...so long as it's offered with the hope that the sinner will realize his sins and repent.

Disappointed about no thumbs downs? Yes God has created everyone in His image, and homosexual people as well. But where you get the "there's no judgment on them", I can't know, because it says God will judge everyone. "for it is appointed unto ALL men to die once, then the judgment" (Hebrews.9:27). So if you understand as I do that homosexuals are as all people, why should we say they won't be judged? Everyone either repents, or they face Him in the Day of Judgment.

@olh1152 The joy and peace that I feel everyday all day that I never felt before the Lord came in to my life is something to shout about alone. God sending strangers my way when I got laid off and didn't qualify for unemployment that helped me keep my head above water. I'm still unemployed and God is still providing for me. I love this message. I am in between my seed time and harvest (or as one person once put it, "I am in between what God promised and what I see". My faith has not waned but I won't sit here and act like I'm so holy that I don't get frustrated with God's timetable. "A spiritual man judges all things, yet he himself is judged rightly by no one." 2 Corinth. 2:15. In Matthew 7, when Jesus discusses judging, He does not say not to judge. I agree with you that the pastors of churches are living in hypocrisy...that is one of the reasons why I do not attend the modern day church building. But there are people out there who truly do seek after the Lord with all their mind, heart, soul and strength. There are people out there who have repented (stopped sinning) and walk in the light as Jesus is in the light. It's sad that you won't find most of those people in the "church" building, but we are out there.

If there is a plank in our eye, then of course we can't judge another in that situation....but if we do not have a plank in our eye, then we can see clearly to help our brother remove his speck. But where you get the "there's no judgment on them", I can't know, because it says God will judge everyone. "for it is appointed unto ALL men to die once, then the judgment" (Hebrews.9:27). Out of 436,981 people am I the only one who realized that there is no 25th verse in the 8th chapter of Genesis. T.D. Jakes is an amazing preacher who I believe is annointed and appointed by God. What do you believe will happen when we past this life do you believe this is it and then that's the end nothing else happens, I believe their is a heaven I can't say I've been their but yes it's blind faith but everything I have been through (which isn't much) and have heard and seen has been incredile and I do believe heaven is their, but would you want this life to end on earth and not believe that their maybe somthing else afterwards

@olh1152 There is faith and I recognize as a muslim that certain beliefs cannot be manufactured in a test tube. But, not being able to rationalize or perform an experiment that can validate a concept does not mean that that said concept does not exist or real.

@olh1152 Did I hurt your feelings that bad? If the quote is so 'silly' as you put it, then why use it? You have quotes from two prominent minds and use them, incorrectly, in a larger context of an endorsement of atheism. So I quoted, from Isaac Newton to show you that anyone can pick and choose quotes to bolster ones argument. You missed it. It flew right over your head, which isn't saying much.

@olh1152 By they way, you are grossly misinterpreting and manipulating the thoughts of Voltaire on God by insinuating that he was an atheist. He most certainly was not. Voltaire detested the institution of Catholicism which he saw. While Voltaire, was on his death bed he wrote a statement which he gave his secretary, Wagner it reads: "I die adoring God, loving my friends, not hating my enemies, and detesting superstition." ---The Story of Philosophy, Will Durant.

@olh1152 Again, and unfortunately, you are taking Voltaire out of context. He was referring to catholicism. And more to the point, the catholicism that he was exposed to at that time. It was not a criticism on God. " I die adoring God" Voltaire. Hardly the words of an atheist.

@olh1152 You can't tell me what not attribute what I know to be God. It is my belief. I'm not living on pittance. I'm doing well because of Him. Why can't I believe in Him. How does my believing in my Lord and Saviour affect your day at all. It doesn't. @olh1152 The joy and peace that I feel everyday all day that I never felt before the Lord came in to my life is something to shout about alone. God sending strangers my way when I got laid off and didn't qualify for unemployment that helped me keep my head above water. I'm still unemployed and God is still providing for me. So my friend that is what makes him to me. It may not be logical to you but Jesus Christ is so real to me. I have thought and I decided to believe.

If he was just a feeling I wouldn't believe. But again you haven't answered my questions why do you care what I believe? If doesn't enrich your life in anyway wheter I believe in God or not What is your purpose of using your precious free speech in a way that won't change my mind.

Man created God. The person that wrote the book of Genesis, how do they know what took place in the beginning. He was not there. If you say they know through the holy spirit, then he should have gotten the chronology of creation right. You cannot have plants before you have the sun. If I was in that audience I would have shouted out LIE!

The thing with all spiritual stuff is that you can't work it out with your mind because it's a whole different form of reality - a bit like a parallel universe. Bless you good!! :-)

@olh1152 my mind was imagining anything but God. I was more interested in girls, money and beer. When God makes himself known you'll know. Clever words, losing yourself in bottle of whiskey, money in the bank, nothing can keep Him out. I can still imagine all sorts but I know that God is real and that Jesus took on himself my punishment on the cross. Honestly Jesus is better than any religion - now there are some imaginations!!! @olh1152 if only I felt emotionally good all the time that would be great!! No, it's about being all we are: Body Mind AND Spirit. The thing is God is Spirit and those who worship Him worship in Spirit and is truth. Knowing the truth isn't any use without the Spirit. Emotions belong to the area of the mind. There's a whole spiritual world out there. You need to be a trekky - go boldly & seek new life... :-)
