Probably only some manufactured boyband crap gets that number of views. :o(
I can't help but think that a song's likelyhood of popularity is inversely proportional to how good it is.
I first heard this song as a live version (on TV) when the band appeared at a few festivals at the time it was released. I thought it was brilliant then and still think so now. Thanks for posting it Lennie!
There are a small guitar sequence that begins at 2.29 that reminds me of an old hit were they did sing something like Johny Donny comes around or something? nevertheless this is brilliant.
Bought the album in a bargain bin in about 10 years ago. Loved the album and this was my favourite track. Why do classic bands end up in bargain bins and mediocre shit (Snow patrol, Kooks etc) ends up being mega - the general public (and the DJs that pollute us with the same crap every day) are to blame.
I was lucky enough to be in a band with Louis & Ed before they rose to stardom! These guys are two of the best people you can meet... and really grounded musicians.
ok... colleen left in 1997, to be replaced by aki. then beatrice joined on keyboards. then paul left, then there was a bit of a gap, & after an attempted comeback or two (with one of elastica joining on guitar) they played their last gig at the water rats in 2002. I think louis is in quickspace now. colleen's married & living in san francisco. paul went into management (magic numbers). not sure about ed- wish he'd get in touch. nice bloke.
i was with ed tonight. my girlfriend plays clarinet in the jazz band he plays in. they play every thursday night at the wine press in aldwich. he told hes been recording crazy blues music, just guitar/drums. yr right, one of the most genuine guys you could ever meet, and a really good drummer.

Aki is always my favorite bass player. Hope she is doing well after she left the band.
