America has fucked up food system! Everyone is engrossed in meat and alcohol and even vegetables are pure chemicals! The best thing is to use you backyard to grow vegetable and fruits ! Eat right and be healthy!
did you know that the vegetables that you eat every day are grown with fertilizer. And where do you think that fertilizer comes from? That fertulizer is made mostly from manure ( cow crap ) and human waste. And this practice is really environmentaly friendly.
There's no such thing as a carcinogen. There is only one cancer. Cancer cells are left-over trophoblasts. Trophoblasts are healing cells that can only be controlled with Amygdalin, a substance being cut out of our Western diets. Research vitamin B17/Amygdalin.
Just finished watching Singapore 6.30pm news 17Apr 08 Thursday. A man from Taiwan was diagnosed with last stage lung cancer many years ago. He DID NOT go for chemotherapy. He said he drinks fruit juice 6 times everyday. eg celery, pineapple, soya beans and many other types of fruits. (I cannot remembered all the fruits) and also salad for his diet for many years. His doctor said there is no sign of cancer anymore. I saw him in the TV - He looks very healthy and hv healthy smooth complexion.
thanks for your question. eating dark chocolate in moderation, especially organic dark chocolate, can be good for your health (lowers your blood pressure among other things). the main side effect is that some people are allergic to it, or get migraines from it. the other one is that people might eat too much of it and it makes people gain weight... so in moderation and dark, organic chocolate is probably the best option.
Chocolate has caffeine and works on the brain in a way that is similar to heroin and morphine, it causes physical addiction. Migraines, mood swings are probably the most immediate side effects of chocolate, milk chocolate being the worst of course.
I am so happy that you put this up. You can NEVER eat enough fruits and vegetables! This is the original diet that was made for mankind but especially here in America many people are health lazy and are solely influenced by media headlines and/or the popular crowd often without any clue that these headlines were either influenced by money and/or are made to make money. Meat is ok but it really isn't all that good for you since it just putrefies in your system.
These are details that I didn't want to bore you all with, but I feel that the national news media shouldn't have just made a blanket statement, "eating extra fruits and vegetables does not prevent breast
cancer recurrence." I know for me, I first read that article and said, "wait, eating vegetables doesn't prevent cancer?" So if I, a med student, can get completely confused, then I was worried that others would also, if they had only saw the news without reading the actual study.
Yay!!! I'm so glad that you made a video response. Have you ever thought of calling the local news station to refute their broadcast? if you call your station and tell them that you have good reason to believe that the story misrepresents the truth, they will be happy to jump on the latest story.
Hey -- thanks for your suggestion! I'm actually not quite sure what exactly to do in that, the media got it wrong, but I think it was because the study they were reporting on was a confusing study. (in other words, I don't think they were willfully misrepresenting -- it was just incomplete reporting).
For example, that study was trying to see if eating more fruits and vegetables would prevent cancer recurrence. One group of women ate more veggies than the other. And they tried to see which group had less cancer. But both groups ate more fruits and vegetables than the national standard guidelines! Confused? I was, until I read the actual study twice.
Yeah JEFF.. If you don't like to eat fruit too much; then blend it baby.. Blend it all!!! Certainly beats chewing, which can be really boring! :D JEFF ROCKS!
The media reports associated with this subject were grossly superficial. Thank you for your attempts at providing access to information which provides more insight into the myriad of benefits which can be obtained from including fruit and vegetables into the diet.
Thank you for addressing this issue. Fresh fruits and vegetables are a must for healthy living. Big media is paid for by big drug companies and other big corporations.
I could not agree more, Jeff. I was appalled at the media report I read summarizing that study. It showed absolutely no grasp of the big picture.
There are a zillion health benefits to be obtained from making vegetables and fruits dominant components in diet. Anyone suffering from cancer should be taking every opportunity to improve their diet and health in every possible way.
media must be carefully responsible to their reports...nice health advisory!be a health conscious because health is wealth.

So the study was not really applicable to the general population. The other main
question is whether the intervention group was actually following the intervention.
There's evidence, as pointed out by the editorial, that the intervention group did not
follow the intervention. Which makes you wonder, how reliable are the findings of the study?
