Ok, i have a kind of dilemma right know....i want to buy a new laptop, and after searching a lot, i've got 2 options:

This HP Envy Beats edition, or a MBP 15" the price is not a big deal, but the HP is way cheaper than the MBP, but i have a few questions:

How about the battery? How long it goes with normal use (wifi on, not to low brightness, etc?

Does the trackpad works right? Till now i never seen a laptop with a good trackpad like the MBP.

@kornypony I actually just got a Vaio s series like 2 weeks ago and its a really great laptop. Great battery life even without the battery slice, really lightweight and still has a lot of power. My only real complaint about it is the screen feels a little flimsy but I guess thats the price you pay for a laptop as light as this.

@dbarrera767 Nice. VAIO S beats anything from HP hands down, except HP's Elitebook line which is much higher priced. you got a SA/SB? I just got a S, which is being replaced by SA and SB. I had to get S because it's the only 13.3 VAIO that comes with IEEE1394 port.

for a game like GTAIV it likes as many processor cores as possible (quad-core is nice) so the i7-720qm/740qm if you can afford it.

Do note though, that the Intel Core i7-quad cores do NOT have integrated graphics so you will be running on the ATI Radeon 5650 graphics 100% of the time so your battery life will suffer and the laptop will run warmer all the time (and thus louder since the fan will ramp up more often) than if you were to get a dual-core Core i5.

The only drawback i could see is touch pad is not really good ! If you are okay with that , then go for this laptop ! Don't compare this with mac as it is completely different
