@Twinman2 Wuss? You do know that most guns used in crime are obtained illegally right? Its not about needing a gun to defend yourself in a fist fight. Its when they have a gun or knife and intend to kill you. And just because you have a gun does not mean you are going to shoot people. But it does give you the upper hand and can stop a hostile situation without anyone being harmed.

Your logic is flawed and unfounded. The studies have been done before by universities all over the US. Gun bans have only resulted in more crime since law abiding citizens will not own them. That is proven data. If there is a good chance that you won't own a gun, you are a larger target for gun related crime. If you look at areas of the country where it is legal for concealed carry for everyone, gun crime is exceedingly rare even when adjusted for population density.
