  • cool video giiirl

  • "I ran my hand o'er a strange inversion" is about a miscarriage, feeling your bump gone. Yes a song usually has many meanings, but this line kind of screams it out don't ya think?

This video was AWESOME by the way. Very heart-felt. <3

  • whoever the girl is in the video...you are beautiful. i can relate to the sadness in your eyes. If you ever want to talk, message me. I've been through a lot and could probably offer you some advice. (((hugs)))

  • it's both, but fiona was raped by a stranger at 12... so she could be referring to that. It affected her a lot (as it would) but she also developed anorexia because of it. She didn't want to have a womans shape because she feared the same thing would happen.

  • This song isn't sad!

It's a reflection of growing up.

  • i have to agree. it's upsetting to get to the point of "oh im an adult" but it doesn't mean that this song is sad.. its a brilliant piece of art

  • aww this is sad

  • this is for my daughter... Amber Lin...

  • i have been listening to this song for years and never felt like it had anymore meaning than a woman who is realizing she changed from a girl to a woman

  • thank you for sharing...it was beautiful

  • Beautiful video

  • such an amazing sad song!

  • A truly sad haunting song. One of my favorite by Fiona. It hurts me to the core.

  • ummmmm it's about kids getting raped..but the miscarriage idea does make sense.

  • This song is about losing your inner child. Sheesh. I actually think its about infidelity.

  • i'm pretty sure this actually talking about a miscarriage. "i ran my hand over a strange inversion, a vacancy that just did not belong. the child is gone." but what do i know? i'm not fiona.

  • you know this song is about child sex abuse?

'darling give me your absence tonight'

'as the darkness turned into the dawn, the child is gone'

  • yea i know...

  • damn, i never really listened to it. Thats crazy

  • I don't see where it says child abuse. i think its far far more losing a child. Sounds like it is being sung to someone close to her who wants to help but there si nothing that can be done or said to make such a sad thing any better and at the same time she needs this person as she feels herself slipping away in depression, letting the pain of her loss over take her. Listen to the words or read them a little closer. there is nothing that points directly to child abuse, but all to child loss

  • when people are abused as children they are forced to grow up. theyre childhood robbed. when i first heard this i immediately thought child abuse and then someone mentioned a miscarriage and that also made a lot of sense to me. it really just means w/e you want it to mean but those are the too i can most see and relate to.

  • Dude.. this is an awesome take on one of my favorite songs. Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • aww thanks dude... totally inspired by a break up ahhaha...

    whatev :)
