That is a type of shaker. Looks plastic. Based on gourd shakers from Africa. You dry the gourds and the seeds bounce around. Maracas are based off of this idea. Most commonly this type of shaker is an avacado shaker. Very Nice job guys. Plain and simple yet pure just the way carols are meant to be sung.
@bobcateric21 It looks just like a simple egg shaped shaker(I have no idea what it is called i'm not a percussionist), you can probably get them at any music or guitar store. Sorry if this didn't help at all haha.
