@stalkervision Yes, this is one of my older videos. before I got the V1. But its detecting the older K band signal from photo radar. Very easy to detect.
@stalkervision Thanks for the video. There are other videos showing that the V1 does even better vs. the Multanova 6F than the Whistler Pro 78. These Ka band trucks are newer technology with even lower power. There are videos showing that a vertical mount helps increase detection substantially because it matches the way photo radar is polarized. I am confident that this is the solution.
@kinansleiman2006 Thanks for the advice. An expert on one of the boards I visit chimed in on this issue; apparently its because of the way photo radar is polarized across the road. I could probably get much better detection by mounting my Valentine 1 vertically. See the link in the video description.
@Shadow04HA It's mounted high above the rear view mirror. I don't think the signal was blocked. It's directed forward rather than backwards (towards my direction of driving), which is why its hard to pick up as you approach it from behind.
that is similar to the redflex mobile units that use to litter our freeways here in az, they were running an AGD-340 radar. Effective range of maybe 300 feet or 100 meters since your in Canada

@jarus187 for photo radar vans you should mount v1 under the rear view mirror in the centre of the windshield.Try it.and put a new excellent video>>

Where is your detector mounted? In my experience, sometimes the signal gets blocked by the car in front of you. This might have happened to you.
