  • Nice Sim's Bulding Mode music.

  • How do you go about gettin this surgery? I have delt with sinus trouble all my life!

  • how much this surgery cost ??

  • For your sinus try SinusTrack on the android app store, i wrote it, to track sinus as I get terrible trouble from sinus too, it helps record your sinus, to give you an indication as to when you are getting sinus.

  • I had this done about three days ago along with nasal polypectomy, and everyone is different but I am recovering well. I didnt have any nasal packing,(thank the heavens) and just slight nose bleeding. The nasal rinse after care is absolutely disgusting, I am able to breathe again but I havent regained my sense of smell. womp womp.

  • Also when I order a number 9, I wont sound so nasally. =) I think the surgery will be well worth it.

  • I'm having this surgery in a couple of weeks. I just want to breathe again, and the chronic fatigue while being a full time college student is not at all beneficial. For the longest I thought I was just prone to getting colds and stufdy noses, after getting a CT scan, WHOA. My left sinus was horrible. Completely blocked with STUFF, and my left eye was draining constantly.. the worst. I hope after the surger I will be able to smell, and not snore so loud, and breathe!

  • I just got this done today! Sweet, a bit irritating with the sponges, but other than that, I feel great!

  • @Kingofkings6151 haha ive blown a few of those out. Feels so much better since i got the surgery should of done it about a year ago

  • I had this done a year ago and so far I'm still back to normal breathing. Not a single cold or stuffy nose for a whole year.

  • @tahoekid77 Wow....Congrats! I'm always sick and always taking decongestants. You're making me want to have this surgery. :)

  • @kamikrazi123 Goodluck and hope you get well.

  • @ 4:26 felt soooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooood!!!!

  • @rkwk1234gogo Depends but I was breathing much better the day they pulled the packing which was the 2nd day and better each day after. I have had the surgery done twice. The first time the Dr. packed it with gauge and that took a week before they removed it. It's been about 4 years now and I am breathing perfectly.

  • This video is tremendously well done. Congratulations.

  • That was so cool!

  • what a freedom for nose and head now after sinus sergery

  • I had surgery only few days back. It was successfull. I would suggest to take care during the post operative phase. Be in the hospital for at least 2-days, after the gauges are removed from the nostril, wash the nose with 50ml solution made from 1ltr of water+ 2 tea spoon of table salt + 1 tea spoon of Sodium Bicarbonate. It feels great. The only difficulty is soon after the surgery and as long as the gauges are fixed in the nose after the surgery. Debasish

  • Awesome Video!!!!! God Bless u for uploading this!! helped alot!

  • If anyone is considering this operation procedure I highly recommend it. I could not breathe for years. Fatique, anxsious, tired all the time. As soon as I woke up I felt no pain and the next day they pulled out the gauze. Did not hurt but felt like they were pulling a giant worm out of my nose. Now life is good. I can exercise, breathe deep and sleep without snoring. Do it if you need it!

  • @wanaraz1 Thank God this worked for you. I've been tossing the idea around since I had an MRI done that showed a chronic sinus infection throughout most of my sinus cavities. I've snored for years due to my chronic stuffy nose. I'm tired of all the antibiotics, corti-sprays, decongestants, antihistamines, etc., etc., etc. My HMO MD is a quack who will not do anything but give me sprays. A friend recommended this surgery and he said it worked but I was skeptical. Your recomendation helps. Thanks.

  • @rgarcia77 You sound just like me. I too want this surgery now. I rotate with the Claritin D and Mucinex. D. :D

  • Nice video really appreciate the comprehensive nature of it... Very professional... But why didnt you perform a clearance of the frontal recess and frontal sinusotomy?.. Didnt the examination show frontal sinusities?

  • It looks scary but it's worth it.

  • @litledevel15

Wow, sorry there mate. I also had nose problems but after my surgery, I breath so much better. Well, goodluck with the sinus surgery, hoop you get better.

  • @tybash

In November 2007 I had gotten adenoid removed and a turbanent reduction because my adenoids were covering 3/4's of my airways, then the following year of november 2008, I got the sinusitis surgery because I felt no change from the previous surgery, and during the surgery he noticed I had a deviated septum, which is from taking to many shots to the face in soccer, so he used a hammer and chisel to break a bone fragment to fix, and after that 5 hour surgery I felt like a new person.

  • Awesome! Good job surgeon!))

  • BEAUTIFUL !!!

  • That was AWESOME!! Thanks for sharing!! :O)

  • damn.i alwys see that thing through the mirror in my nose, i thought its just something normal..

  • im thinking of getting this in the next few months... have trouble breathing now and feeling kinda drowsy now due to not getting enough O2 in my system..... 4-11

  • Still waiting to get this surgery done. It's weird how you get used to not being able to breath out of your nose after a while. Its been about a year and a half since I got out of a week long stay at the hospital because of this, actually can't wait to have this surgery as weird as it sounds, I hope it works.

  • very good video ..My problem is being very sensitive to blowing air(fan/air-con) and even to few drops of rain ..then immediately will get runny nose , and sick for a day or two ..this happens couple of times a month despite my attention to prevent it .I wonder if you guys have anything like this . I don't have swollen sinuses , however polyps might be the reason ??

  • @ytertyu That was the case with me also. If I was in a cold room too long, or fans blowing almost immediately I would get a runny nose. The most irritating thing ever. You're sitting on a date in a cold but fancyy restaurant and next thing you know your nose is drip dropping all over the place. I have this surgery in a couple of weeks hopefully this will end all of that.

  • @Chynadoll954 wow ive been dealing with nose issues for a long time and have never had someone say what you said about the cold air its true, but i dont think its ur sinuses ,are u getting a deviated septum fixed as well ...because thats wuts causing my sensitivity to cold air , for example if i am driving the AC must be off if its a hot day i open window, pretty much no drastic change in climate, especially in a confined space, im curious as to what ur dr said about the "cold air thing" reply..

  • @5585steve Well I just had the surgery on Jan 3rd, and immediately after I was able to breathe again. As far as the cold air thing my doc said it could be attributed to this but I have to go thru immunotherapy and further testing to figure out the cause.

  • @Chynadoll954 gl

  • It has now been 48 hours since surgery, and I can already smell things like popcorn which I have not been able to do for a half year. Still some minor bleeding here and there, so I carry tissue in my pocket when out of the house, just in case.

  • Thank you for posting this video. Now people will understand better how the procedure looks like. I am having this done in a month. Actually I can't waint this to happen, cause the symptoms badly impact my life.

  • Just had this done last night, they dont pack it anymore unless there is a serious need to, when i woke up I could breathe through my nose better than before, now the blood clots have filled up my nose and I rinse them out 3 times a day! they kept giving me pain killers but I dont feel much pain there so havent been taking them! so far so good, hopefully soon wont have to breathe out of my mouth all the time! If you cant breathe out your nose I would get this done!

  • I get this performed tomorrow morning. I could not watch this video all the way through...made me sick!!

  • wow . third? i just did mine and got home. and i wouldnt want to do it again. had to stay over night at the hospital and it suked. one of the worst part was waking up just after the surgery.

  • I actually had this done once and I got them back again so now we are debating on weather or not to do surgery again, well we have to do surgery the question is when... I am sure you know this but it is annoying as hell i want them taken out. I can't breath, or sleep at night with out medicine.

  • I am wondering if this is my problem, I'm going to my ENT soon, I have had cronic sinusitis for years, I even quit smoking 4 months ago, and still no relief! Antibiotics don't work anymore, and I am deff. having trouble sleeping, and can't breath thru nose anymore, cronic headacke and pressure in all areas of sinuses frontal, maxillary, and broken nose, and all, any ideas Dr. please help!!

  • i just got this done on wednesday. I would also like to know when the relief begins? At least I can look forward to them taking out those damn packings on tuesday so I can finally breath through my nose

  • man my brother is having sinis surgery today (his 3rd 1) and i have to have 1 next month:(

  • damn that sucks, his 3rd???? why couldn't they fix it with just one?

  • This is a very good video! Thank you for this and for publishing this information!!!

  • what is the song in the beginning?

  • This surgery would provide much needed sinus relief for me.

  • Having the FESS procedure and a septaplasty procedure done. All on the same day in 2 weeks.

would it be foolish to go back to work after 2 days. consultant advices to take a week off.

  • In that case you will need surgery to clear your nasil passages up. It sounds like your maxillary sinuses are where the problems are.

  • Nice video! It's amazing all that there is with the nose and sinuses.

  • Help me!!!!, i am suffering from HUGE nasal infection, thou doctors i visit say they "saw no infection" and ask me mail checks next week cuze i dont have insurance. I think i am suffering from this kind of Nasal infection and need surgery cuze I cannot even study with people since very stinky smell comes out of my nose, people quickly react and turn away so, did you honestly experienced smell coming out of your nose or did you notice people reacting to your presence? Thank you

  • Has anyone experienced enhanced taste disorder from sinusitis? I'm having a nasal scope soon and wondering if polyps could cause extreme tastes. I cannot eat meats or veggies and only fruit or nutritional drinks.

  • Hey everyone its four days after my surgery and all went well. I am getting headaches but my doctor said its normal Thanks for the vid i got atleast some knowledge of what was happening :D

  • Going in for sinus surgery and to get polyps removed this week. I think im going to feel a lot better after it.

  • had my first surgery last year and noticed a difference in my breathing right away! But, my tonsils kept getting inflamed along with extreme fatigue, which werent as much as before my sugery but it does bother me. So my doctor recommended a revision.. and i said.. what the heck.. might as well do my best to fix this while my sinus is clear due to my first surgery. So gonna have my revision in two days. wish me luck! and good luck to you all who also has to deal with this

  • I have both sides blocked with these horrible things, for 5 years I have lost my sense of taste and smell, I sound like I have a cold all the time, they secrete and drip mucus, the nasal sprays don't work - yet the doctor refuses me this operation.

Is this all done under anesthesia?

Any help would be great - thanks.

  • your dr. is an ass. Find a new one, I had it done and its under anestesia but it takes some time to heal.

  • Thanks for the reply animechic... I will change doctors.

My doc claims that they will grow back, so surgery is not worth it.

  • Get a new doc. I had mine done yesterday. Packing out today and I am breathing well for the first time in 20 years. I had identical to the surgery pictured here. They actually remove the ethmoid sinus. Real hard to understand how the polyps could grow back.

  • Thanks, I'm going to go tomorrow and get another doctors oppinion, it's driving me nuts.

Doc said they grow back over time due to allergies or wetness of the nasal walls, I also have Rhinitis after an infection in polluted Bangkok.

Have you regained your smell and taste?

  • Yes. I got them back as soon as the packing came out. And much better than before.

  • Thanks.

I saw another doc today, she has booked me to see another ENT specialist, hopefully I can manage to convince them that it is ruining my health and surgery is the way forward.

7 years of steroids and nasal sprays - with high cost English prescription charges.

Hope it stay a success to all that have this operation.

  • Same situation here, you would not believe how badly this thing affected my quality of life for many years. Now, they checked it out and within couple of weeks I am scheduled for bilateral endoscopic sinus surgery. I hope it will be the end of this suffering. Yes, they will use anesthesia. Good luck with your situation.

  • had the surgery 3 days ago its not bad at all the packing was the worst thing.but they took mine out shortly after putting it in because i wasn't breathing good. your on a nice jello diet for 2 days and you throw up blood for a little while but its all good

  • I got this desease by driving motrocycle for years without helmet. My dad also has problems with sinuses but not like me.

My point is that i could have prevented it from getting the desease with not driving motorcyce without a helmet or its hereditary and i would eventually get it in my life time.

  • this is what i have now

    - i cannot breathe through my nose at all

its so swollen or clogged its impossible

    - i get mucus in my throat

    - i have sinus pressure under my eyes and ears

    - i get frequent headaces

do you people recommend me getting this surgery?

  • yeah i think you should cause if you cant breathe through your nose than thats bad

  • I recommend a visit with an ENT in your area to diagnose and treat according to your needs. It sounds as though there is a real problem that can be treated by a good ENT. Begin by using a nasal rinse such as the Netipot. This can usually help somewhat. But definitely make an appointment with an ENT. Hope you feel better.

  • It could be sinisitis. But it could also just be a very bad case of sinus infection. Try something like amoxicillin.

  • pls go and see a ENT surgeon..

  • Share your symptoms having sinus surgery on Aug 7 @ the VA hospital hoping for nose breathing soon after be happy to advise on outcome if you like noel

  • if you get it, it is highly probable that it would go away. But there are thousands of similar diseases like this. and if you don't take care of yourself, then you're going to fall in the same problem.

  • well i think that you should take a long hot shower first steam helps open the nasel passage ways you could also put your face over a pot of steaming hot water stay there and try to blow your nose if you still cant breath through your nose consult a doctor or maybe you can get a neti pot

  • I've had this surgery performed 2 times now the first time it helped for 4 years and the last surgery was done in February of 2008, I am in need of surgery again for the 3rd time and it will be performeed in the next month, is there anything I can do to prevent having a 4th 5th or 6th surgery?

  • I think i might need this surgery?!!?

-I have All year stuffyness nose

theres mucus up there that wont blow out

-ive had it for 7 years

    -im 13 now

    -its freakin pissing me off

-and it also goes down the back of my throat

Does the surgey hurt?how long is the surgery?how long does pain last??

  • had it done a few years back didnt hurt your sedated, they put these nasal tampons in your nose that go the whole length of your nasal cavaty and you will have to pull them out a couple days after your surgery doesn't hurt, but it feels weird. should be up and around in about 4 days

  • I had surgery on Monday (4 days ago) Septoplasty,Turbinoplasty

the first 2 days my nose was bleeding a lot...i can totally feel the packages on my nostrils...nose is completely packed no taste at all till Today...no breathing trhough the nose at all ..honestly just a tiny tiny bit ..a lot of mucus mixed with blood when i use the Saline solution i do that a lot during the day (at least 4 times), i just hope the day i remove the packing the pain will be moderate!

  • i had mine 28 hours ago..there is heavy bleeding in the first day so far..have to keep on a bandage dnt know for how long tho. i havent a clue when i would fully recover..

  • I had FESS to remove an antrochoanal sinus polyp that ended up being 4cm*6cm! everything went perfectly! Couldn't blow my nose for two weeks mind you (doctor's orders) , but I've never enjoyed more the ability to breathe through my nose with such freedom. Completely worth it.

  • I just had a similar surgery done about 12 hours ago. The pain medication is sufficient but the packing in the nose is uncomfortable because you can only breathe out of your mouth. I get the packing out tomorrow and don't anticipate that will be fun. There are two cords hanging out of my nose right now and I anticipate the doc is going to use to yank everything out. Can't wait.

  • ehh i am just a somebody and just happen to see this video and i just watched and i just skipped some parts and i dint understand the words u were writing there so was the white things living things?? cuz when u touched it it just begin to move i never can sleep again

  • Nasal polyps... its portions of the mucosa ("inner skin") of your nasal cavity swelling because of chronic inflammation.

  • hhmm.. ive seen in the video. you said the ethmoid bone is destroy. ( sorry for the term, im not fluent in english. i hope you understand ) is that not, dangerous? or what is the consequense?...

and, i have undergone a polypectomy 2 years ago. and i think the operation is not enough, and i have a feeling that there a polyps again in me sinuses.

i wish that there is someone will replied to my comment. thank you, godbless ^_^

  • Best of luck! My dad's getting it done soon....

  • I had this operation performed last week...will be happy to share experience

  • My father is having this done as well as a potential rhinoplasty to correct a deviated septum. How successful was your experience?

  • i have sinus, on my nose ... almost 3yrs my sinus in my nose... when i play basketball my sweeating out and sinus got small... .. hehehe sorry my bad english :D..... my sinus cant infection?

  • i have sinus infections constiantly,

will i have something like this done,

  • Does anybody know what the song is called playing through this whole video ?

  • Thsi beautiful melody is called "mon reve de matin d' automne" composed by B.X.D. Lorenzo Stelzer-Koh

  • So, not being an expert on the nose and such things, how many sinuses are there??? And were they all clogged up? And by what?

  • theres so many mucus to remove....is that necessary?

  • i am getting this done in 2 months

i am not looking forward to it

  • im having a growth removed from maxillary sinus on friday. i was very scared until i just talked to surgical nurse at ents office. she assured me that giving birth is a lot more painful> i hope this helps to make you less nervous

  • Is this called Proof puncture???

  • good job

  • whats the name of the song please does anybody no or who plays it??????

  • how i love to see the video. i like the way surgeons do their job to help patients on their sinus problem. its educational to learn on the actual surgery of the nasal cavity. first time to see.

  • Very... Suckey

  • i just had a fess surgery yesterday+turbinoplasty and now i feel great! its good and somewhat icky to see what they did to me yesterday and it explains why i have blood n snot..

looking at how the thingy 'vacuums' the sinus infections makes my nose feel so relieved too somewhat hehe awesome vid!

  • thanks for the sharing..

    i learn a great deal

  • my sister is having this done in a few weeks im goin to tell her about this thanks :)

  • my nose is feeling better already!! lol . . . nice piano tho :)

  • I get major sinus barotrauma when flying, after which bloody mucus might drain from my sinuses for several days.

I can pretty much control it with drugs and irrigation, but I imagine something like this that clears the inside would be helpful.

  • I had Endoscopic Sinus Surgery in July! Best thing I've ever done. I've had chronic sinusitus for as long as i can remember. Id clear up one infection and get another. also, had a septoplasty because my septum was off centered. Best decision of my life! I sleep better, and ive been sinus infection free since july! :)

  • So there's hope :s

  • please stop posting

  • lol?

  • Nice, but I'd suggest getting rid of the Merocel packs. In my experience, not necessary.

  • I hate looking at stuff like this, but seriously, I'm in so much pain from my chronic sinusitis, the thought that someone can just go in through my nose like that is so comforting in a way.

I wish they could just pull the suckers out, ring 'em out like wash cloths, and hang them out to dry before sticking them back in there. The pain is so intense!

Thanks for posting this. It makes me feel better about the idea of having it performed on me. The music is perfect, too.

  • This is amazing to watch!

  • this kind of surgery is what i want

to be able to have the feeling to breath again... i like how they just rip that Shit out of there excuse my lang.. that would be a relief

  • Those are the same words i said!I hate this Shit in my nose!!

  • oh god i want to become a surgeon and this is what i have to do omg ok ok i might get through it by tha

  • wow!!!!!!!anwesome surgery...

  • plz no1 get this surgery.. my mom just got bout 10 months ago and the doctor fucked her up.. she was in coma 4 about 3 months.. and now doesnt move dat much an is in a therapy home... plz reconsider b4 doing this ... or @ least dont do it in columbia presbhyterian hospital in ny uptown manhattan..

  • im having this done on the 19th Jan, fuck i bet it hurts

  • god he destroyed everything

  • the doctor burn your nose

  • Fascinating; thanks for sharing!

  • Had this done when I was 12 and 16, they grew back and now give me hell when I have a head cold or am sleeping on one side, I can feel it moving and then blocking the nose, drives me up the wall, off to see the doc today to clear up the blocked and crappy sinus and post nasel drip! I hate Polyps!

  • I donot know, why it takes almost a month to get cure of post sinus surgery and bleeding got stopped? further after the polyps surgery, when doctor open the pack put in my nose after 2 days , it was bleeding through my ear, throat and nose, I was wondering, what could have gone wrong, then doctors did one more surgery to stop the bleeding. god knows who did the surgery, it is he or his attendent or trainee doctors. be careful

  • Que bravo

  • isn't this insane level of pulling and sucking incredibly dangerous, i mean did the patient have any sinus left? i thought surgery took hours because the surgeon was really careful?

  • Without the ridiculous choice of music, this could have been a great and informative video. Yes, I understand the "Air Supply" reference but it is still completely inappropriate for this subject.

  • why, the music is good

  • I had this AND a tonsillectomy at the same time. Sinus surgery was NOTHING compared to the tonisils..

Plus now I can smell and taste my food!! Sinus surgery was the best thing that ever happened to me.

  • Comment removed

  • Hell, comapred to this? Getting your tonsils out is a LOT worse

  • why did you have to bring that up im getting my tonsils out jerk....

  • that's not bad dude, free popsicles

  • Comment removed

  • Oh my good God, that is disgusting. And I need to have this in a month's time. Why the hell did I allow myself to watch this. I'm about to puke.

  • i have to have this surgery in a couple weeks..

  • no no no i've had my tonsils out and that looks like nothing compared to that! no way am i getting that done... ever!!!

  • stop with the songs, death metal...

  • I have sinus problems and a constant head and neck pain and i want sinus surgery right now. im only 17

  • that sht from 529 hurts!!!!!!!!! daaaaaaaamn!!!!

  • ew gross

  • its woorm

  • Hey guys, ever do any research to see the effectiveness of this surgery? Look again. They are releasing information that proves very few people have effective results. However, they are finding that people who have this surgery tend to have more than one in a life time.

  • Like me i had nasal polyps since i was 2 had 1 or 2 operations a yr, they did stopped growing from age 15 but they came back last yr im 25 now. Not a pleasant operation tell u the truth

  • but, did it feel alot better afterwards was it worth it?

  • Hiya, I think it would be worth the operation if the polyps didnt grow back I be having another early next yr. Be nice if they stopped growing

  • thank god phil collins is playing and not metallica!!

  • I dont know anything about sinus surgery but what is that wiggaling thing it moves please tell me what is it?

  • i just got mine done dis morning. got packaging up in my shit so i cant smell yet. lots of bloody drip. had a polyectomy so i was awake. not fun. had like 10 polyps in my shit. it sounds like when a tooth being ripped out. cant get that sound out of my mind. ask me any questions.

  • hey i have polyps up my shit, cant breath hardly. on drugs for the last 7 months, no joy. Hopefully when i go back in 2 weeks they will remove them, i have lots apparently. Did it hurt? haha, i like pain

  • take xanax before you go

  • Did you have a never ending headache and neck pain before the surgery?

  • what were your symptoms b4 this surgery and how do u now feel after having it done and how long did it take, and a scale from 1 to 10 how was the pain 10 being the worse??thanks

  • i have bad chronic sinusitis, and always will. it takes 35-40 min tops. from 1-10, idk. it sucked. he told me i was tense as shit. i felt him yanking on a polyp attached to my left eyeball and remember it feeling like he was pinching my eyeball. I guess get it over with if you can.

  • i dont know why your surgeon didnt put you to sleep;

  • im getting sinus surgery 2moro hopefully it isnt as painful as it looks :(

  • Nice vid! I am having polyp's removed out of my front sinuses the first week of august. Can't wait till all these nasty little guys get sucked out.

  • I had something like this done yesterday at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA

Removed polyps, straitened septum, removed bone in the inferior turbinates and opened one of my sinuses with a balloon. My second surgery of this type in 5 years, this one was just to clean some stuff up and address issues that could not be 5 years ago when i was 13.

  • I have also undergone 2 of these in just two years. I still have problems every day though. you?

  • Well, it has been 5 days since my second surgery, I'm feeling a lot better than before, still have a little bit of swelling but other than that I'm breathing a lot better. Irrigating is the best part.

  • This was an Excellent Video. I would watch it again, which I will do after my own surgery. I am a Surgical Technologist and have seen this surgery done before live in the OR. This would also be an AWESOME teaching video. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE AWESOME VIDEO

  • Nice video - optimal for shaver

A view on the CT scan would be nice.

    All the best

    MS, Austria

  • oh nvm

  • kevin that looks very painful soo do you seal up the whole you make with something or do you let it heal?

  • kevin 7484 you are the doc did you mahe this surgery .

i have this problems too .

  • ha ha ha i always laugh how people upload this Vids with nice songs, i guess so we wont be passing out ha ha ha, but this video is very educational i have a friend with sinusitis

  • i have sinusitis

  • same here

  • wow I can't believe all that stuff was in there

  • I have had SEVEN sinus surgeries, including the one shown in this video, two Caldwell-Luc procedures where they go through your gums and then punch through your cheek bone to get to your sinus and I still have chronic sinus problems, now I have permanent nerve damage in my gums and cheek. Seek a natural cure if possible- I wish I had! I obviously was operated on initially by a quack, then a great doctor later tried to fix his screw up but the damage was already done.

  • right now i'm in recovery from the surgery. i cannot wait to feel the results! thank god this procedure exists
