  • What a waste of time on both my part for watching this, and on your part. You were asking the wrong people....the entire time! That's like going to Lowes for a problem you had at Home Depot. WTF?

  • I am so pissed about this crap, especially at the end!

  • yeah, he points out a double standard as far as pubs and dems go. 100 percent legit. kucinich was banned just to shut his opinion off from millions of potential

    citizens, period.

  • shame he pulled out of the democratic nominations. Just goes to show that the Democrats are as manipulated by the corporate puppet masters as the Republicans. Fortunately RALPH NADER is still running, for those of you that care, do the research. He is older, wiser and never sold out. He has parallel views to this fellow, the intelligence, determination and stamina to get the job done. PLEASE GIVE HIM REAL AND SERIOUS CONSIDERATION FOR AMERICA"S SAKE (AND THE REST OF THE WORLD)!!!!!

  • I really hope both man in some way work together to make the whole "change movement" for the government work. I actually admire Kucinich's bold & courageous fight with e other candidates 4 his values. Very much like Ron Paul did.I am a supporter of Ron Paul, but I really hope they can work something out to help each other. Its not who to b e president, but get e government back 2 constitution. Its a long term fight, that way we call it a Revolution. Join in the revolution.

  • All voices should be heard, no matter how small they are. It doesn't matter if it's Ron Paul which I support or John McCain which I don't at all, every candidate should get an equal voice so their opinions can be heard. The media is so biased and unfair that it influences who gets into office more than the voters themselves.

  • I don't understand-- The lady that spoke for the Iowa Democratic Party said that "there are things beyond their control". Dennis is a DEMOCRATIC presidential candidate. Is that so beyond their control? What's the problem?

  • Kucinich spoke up, and is speaking up, regarding the 'bought and paid for' media crowning winners, instead of the people making up their own minds.

Don't let the media make up your mind.

Listen to the Bill Moyers interview with both Kucinich and Paul, if education is something you are interested in.

  • Dennis K was excluded from the Iowa debate for the simple fact he didnt speak up when Mike Gravel was being excluded 3 debates prior, his silence to the corruption lead to him being wrong excluded as well. However if Dennis K. would have shown some leadership and informed the public what was going on, he as well as Gravel might be in the debates today.

  • You'll be living in a nightmare if you think the repubs and dens have a different agenda .. Zzzzz... bahhh, bahhhh!

I believe in the constitution, not corporate greed. I believe the people need to control the government, not vice versa. Anyone who thinks it's okay to give up their sons and daughters for power hungry, flip-flopping candidates & war mongers should be ashamed of themselves - after they wake up and find theirselves jobless and with paper money that isn't backed up by squat.

  • Kucinich supporters should vote Ron Paul - not Obama. Obama is for "corporate interests" like the rest of them. What slays me more is he is willing to stay in IraQ "until we win". Ron Paul's views are in line with Kucinich. Democrats for Ron Paul here.

  • The more I watch Ron Paul I think that you may be right...

  • maybe im crazy but kucinich supporters should vote kucinich and fight to get him on the ballot not just accept paul as a sub though i do like ron paul kucinich is right on not only political but social issues

  • Obama '08

  • I am for Ron Paul, and this is the reason,

The media is trying to keep out freedom fighters and anti war candidates.

    They promote socialists.

I believe Dennis Kucinich is better for our country than all the other Democrats.

  • I AM with Kucinich, even after the Iowa caucus...BUT I would also walk away from this guy, he is SO annoying

  • IOWA CAUCUS RESULTS:

    Obama: 38%

    Edwards: 30%

    Clinton: 29%

    Richardson: 2%

Gravel, Biden, Dodd and KUCINICH received the remaining 1%...

For those of you who can't do math, that's less than 1% for Kucinich.

You guys keep taking the country by storm though...

  • ...the same reason Ron Paul got excluded: He stands no chance of winning. This is the real world, not ideologue fantasy camp. No one is censoring Kucinich, you can find his silly rants everywhere online and in magazines. He's just not a serious contender for president, we want to hear from those who are at this debate.

  • yaaay ideologues

  • Paul got 10%, more than doubled the amount of votes Giuliani got, and he gets more money from the Armed Forces that any other candidate (which judging from your username might be of use to you). I think it's apparents now that FOX has been forced to rethink their position, at least a little. By your logic, shouldn't Giuliani have been expcluded based on Iowa's results?

  • Giuliani intentionally did not campaign in Iowa. That was kind of a big deal. No one expected him to make a Top-2 finish, and skipping Iowa added to that. I've heard the claim that he has more military donors than any candidate, but I haven't seen the figures to back that up. Either way, his positions are ridiculous especially regarding the military and military readiness.

  • Iowa did kucinich a favor in my opinion. That man has the weakest debate ability I've ever seen.

Moreover, for those mentally challenged among you, talking about democracy, they didn't keep him off the ballot, he just wasn't allowed into the debate. People will still be allowed to vote for him.

  • Ron Paul has more veteran and active military donors. You can check it out on his web site.

  • This is the 'democracy' America wants to spread all over the world???!

HA... WHAT A JOKE! .. I don't think they want it somehow.

If America was full of Kenyans there'd be rioting in the streets!!!

  • ... and they call this Great Nation a

    DEMOCRACY?

Let IOWA local citizens have their freedom of choice to decide.

  • Dennis is the only politician who demands the Impeachment of the retarded vice president

  • Did you really expect to walk in to the Des Moines register and get a quote on camera? Nobody, no institution, no company, no business will give you a quote on camera unannounced. It's not crazy, it's not abnormal. not to detract from your main point, but I think it's unfair to insinuate that the editor was being a jerk or flippant when he was doing what anybody approached point blank would do. AT least, thats how it seemed it was portrayed to me

  • Of course he didn't but there are enough people who sympathize sitting at their computer monitors saying "Yeah man, look at that capitalist, facist pig ignoring his questions, when Davis is totally harassing him. He's trying to hold us down man! Right on Davis!"

That guy could have given him a real answer, or he could have no been present at all. It would have all been part of the conspiracy. Damned no matter what.

  • Harassing him how???? What's wrong with asking a couple of questions??? This is a big deal. They should be damned for making such a decision. Has nothing to do with this bs after the fact.

  • Get out of Iowa!

  • The SC Primary allows one party to vote for the others, So Democrats you can vote R Jan 19th.

Ron Paul has been kicked out of the NH debate by Fox 'News'. NH polls has Paul at around 8% too, he should have a voice.

    Ron Paul 8%

    Fred Thompson 3%

    Duncan Hunter 0%

    Alan Keyes 0%

Guess who will be at the debate Jan 6th.

We are all Americans first and democracy needs us more than ever!

  • Fox News has nothing to do with who is or isn't participating in this forum. They are only carrying the broadcast. The NH republican party is responsible for who is or isn't invited.

  • Actually he carried 10%.

  • Dennis and Elizabeth attack the American people everyday by trying to advance their crackpot Marxist policies on them. Why would you think they would object to their brainwashed following doing the same?

  • Why do people that say they agree with Dennis Kunich and his ideas continue to attack others opinions on these comments?

Not sure that Dennis and Elizabeth agree with the way you people are attacking each other.

  • Dennis supports the illegals and he is for slave raperations... Enough said!

  • Re: "lup-hole": You said he "Supports the illegals". That's akin to saying "he supports the Blacks" How many generations of racism do you come from?

Perhaps you are not "Illegal" and are a Native American? Otherwise, you are proving the point that ignorance and racism have embedded themselves firmly amongst us.

DK'08! or else numbskulls like this get their way.

  • Finally, someone with REAL brains! Hooray for DK! Dennis in 08!!! Impeach Cheney AND that idiot Bush too! DK all the way!

  • Hey, OtherMatrixx, if you are LDS, you are dumb.

If you are not LDS, you are even dumber.

And if you think you are both LDS and not LDS, you are dumbest.

And still don't know Jack Shit.

  • The next time in Iowa, be armed to the teeth. If there is a next time.

In the meantime we will build a movement.

  • Boycott Iowa!

  • Hey,Mr. Fleetwood, look carefully around Des Moines, did you?

    See that gold dome.

    It's telling you something.

In Iowa, whatever they say and whatever Bible they beat, it's all about money.

  • Then there's the long ago president of Radcliffe introduced to a corn-fed young lady just entering the college from the land of Moo.

"Where are you from, my dear?"

    "I am from Iowa, Ma'm."

"My dear, here it is pronounced Indiana."

  • Then there's Nabokov in Lolita, the immortal quip about "driving through three states beginning with 'I'."

  • Got time for a novel?

    I haven't at the moment.

But heading the list is Jane Smiley's Moo.

    Find a good review.

Mine was head to head from someone who knows.

  • "is this hell?"

    "no, it's iowa."

  • What's the difference between Iowa and yogurt?

    Yogurt has culture.

    Moooooooo...

  • Q - what on earth gave you the impression i was worried about you? :D

    you're very amusing indeed.

  • RE: RAIK27 = Send the campaign a self-portrait, maybe they can find a use for another bewildered, mind-numbed mainstreamer like yourself.

    DK'08

Take back corporate run media that is dumbing down the brains of our populace like this numbskull.

  • RE: QtheMatrixx = So we should only "let in" those that come from money that have gained a college education and specialized skill, ignoring the masses that are willing to work here for pittance in order to improve our lives as Dry Cleaners, Maids, Gardeners etc? Smacks of ignorant racism, pal. Put your white hood back on and take a hike.

  • Q - so, is immigration policy the main reason you're not supporting Dennis Kucinich?

i mean, i'm glad that you're so concerned with medical treatment in Latin America.

but i'm just not sure you're aware, that the slippery-slope argument you followed up with, doesn't really cut it. and the ad hominem attacks are certainly not helping you. :D

  • I guess dennis shoulda bought a diner in Des Moines at some point? gee politics is complicated?freedom of speech but only if its approved by corporate headquarters ahead of time ?

  • Living in presently in Iowa I can assure you there is little to no mention of this Kucinich character and the voters here are gung-ho about any candidates visiting. I guess poor Dennis got lost in the mix. It's almost pointless to think voting will render any result in the people's favor but there is sill hope...I hope. Whoever you choose, choose wisely and never rely on mainstream media to help make up your mind.

  • it's not a conspiracy that Dennis was purposly left out of the debate for no good reason...it's not a conspiracy that the Democratic offices in Iowa showed no spine and no support for one of their own. Until we fix this lopsided system we will never have real freedom.

  • man, some people just see conspiracy everywhere.. no one cares about Denis Kucinich, certainly not enough people to have this massive effort to keep him from speaking. lol. It's not like he ever says anything so earth shattering that anyone would want to keep him from speaking.

  • The reason why 'people', as you so lovingly stated, do see conspiracy 'everywhere' is because there is conspiracy everywhere. Otherwise it wouldn't be called Conspiracy. The fact that not everyone can see it or refuses to notice means it is working exactly the way it is intended. How do you know he says nothing Earth shattering? Perhaps he is censored but that would be too below any government to undertake right?

  • How do I know he has nothing earth shattering to say? Because I have heard him in the debates, which were live, so he wasn't censored. I didn't think he had anything earth shattering to say. Since he barely registers in the polls, apparently millions of other people weren't impressed either. For the record, I don't believe government is below censorship. I just don't think Denis Kucinich is important enough to bother censoring.

  • Nice report, just demonstrates the conspiracy of silence of the corrupt, manipulated NWO system. If you don't play ball, accept contributions with strings attached, they won't let you in the game. The game is rigged, the managers are corrupt, and they are too ashamed to be on camera. Kucinich is the major champion of the 911-Truth movement, and if you don't comply with the masters of the universe, you will be excluded. Good expose!

  • As a person that lives in ohio trust me u didnt miss anything kucinich likes to run his mouth and say what everyone else should do but doesnt have any answers of how to do it hes been nothing but a wishy washy go with the flow ass. with that said i still agree it wasnt fare and he should have been allowed

  • Our country is being taken from us. We must defend the Constitution, it is our right, and our duty. The power brokers are using the media to deceive voters and thereby rig the election. This is not democratic, it is an coup attempt by the power brokers to take our country and our liberties from us. It is our duty, our obligation to save our nation. Join us!

  • In addition, they do not wish to let the people see all of the candidates should the "party" not agree with his platform. The "peoples" choice always doesn't count.Popular vote vs Electoral College..yeah sure. They have "their" choices made.Keep plugging whoever your choice.

  • Personally,I am a Ron Paul supporter. He was also excluded from a TV debate with no explaination. IF I voted Demo,Kucinich naturally would have been my choice. The media $ parties seat the "peoples" candidate in end chairs. The middle 3 are the ones they enhance pyscologically.

  • This is to all the nippleheads who say "If I wasn't supporting RP I'd be supporting DK" and vice versa... You people have to be the most ignorant in the electorate. RP and DK's views of the role of gov't are such polar opposites that to say you could support either/or is the height of ignorance.

  • Really? So which one is for staying with NAFTA or the WTO?

Which one is for Military force in shaping world politics?

Which one is for keeping the Patriot Act?

  • I agree Kucinich and Paul are very different when it comes to the size of government in people's lives. Kucinich wants health care for all, while Paul wants huge government agencies to be dismantled. But isn't it possible that the people that go with either/or do so because on issues that are important to them, these two men agree?

And isn't it possible to that whether you agree with one or the other, you see two men that are honest and stick by their principles?

  • It is sad that this happened. Although I am not on the side of Dennis Kucinich, He is a very sincere good man, and this is not excusable. He should have been allowed to participate, just like he has in all of the other debates. Shame on the newspaper for such an injustice. Send this to CNN

They should have to print a full page ad apologizing. Think I will call the newspaper.

    SparklestheClown

  • Why does the Iowa Democratic Party have nothing to do with the debate?! Who's going to have something to do with the counting of the votes?

  • Those assholes excluded Dennis for no reason.

  • Good video but you need to balance your audio a little better. It's all over the place.

  • watchthevote2008(dot)com

    thetruth247(dot)com

    votefraud(dot)org

  • I would like to see a video of Dennis answering the debate questions anyway....NONE of the candidates should be excluded...ever....for any trivial reason.

  • Or, watching the video, perhaps I am wrong :)

  • You have to have at least 1% in the Register polls and have an office and staffer in Iowa.

Kucinich reportedly did not reach 1% in the polls.

Alan Keyes focused almost all his effort on Iowa. He has more than 1% and he does have an office.

I like Kucinich. He speaks much truth very bravely. He and Dodd should be the leading democrat candidates.

  • This came from another video from a mainstream source. However, that source did not go into any depth, and certainly did not interview folks, as you have.

  • JONHNOZ35:

    1. ALAN KEYS HAS NOT ONE SINGLE OFFICE IN IOWA-

    Go ahead- call information.

    Google it.

    Yellow page it- whatever.

    2. Kucinich is polling AHEAD of Dodd in IOWA

  • JONHNOZ35:

    1. ALAN KEYS HAS NOT ONE SINGLE OFFICE IN IOWA-

    Go ahead- call information.

    Google it.

    Yellow page it- whatever.

    ---------------------------------------------

You can't find one on GOOGLE because you can't spell his name correctly. It's KEYES. You idiot.

  • something smells fishy!

  • something smells fishy!

    ------------------------------------------------

Since there's neither a Mrs. Kucinich [the guy lives with mommy] and there's no girlfriend [he's double ugly], the smell must be coming from Dennis's rotten crotch.

  • Wow,39rc6cf your comment is quite possibly the most laughably inept one I have ever seen on Youtube. And there is so much competition! Well done! Search Youtube for "Elizabeth Kucinich" if you can work out how to, you remarkable moron.

  • Perhaps he was excluded because Fleetwood is too ignorant to see we have had a one party foreign policy for decades. Perhaps someone good in America said enough is enough and excluded him after his impeachment ruse. Perhaps if you can't see the one party system it does not matter.

  • Did I hear that correct IPTV?

Theres got to be something in the name here

Or am I the only person on earth that see the irony here

  • Funny thing how negative people are against camera. Not mention how speechless they go when you ask about this Dennis guy's officer. I found it kinda funny.

  • Regarding the election, sure, I'll probably vote... it has no cost, and has no benefit, so it is not stressful and it is amusing.

Voting in phony elections does have a cost to society, but they don't seem to mind. It perpetuates the myth that we live in a free society with unrigged elections.

  • I like his politics, but Kucinich really should pull out. Not only did he not stand a chance 4 years ago, he said that he saw a ufo. He has no possibility of being elected, and only embarrases the real candidates.

  • who gives a shit if he saw an unidentified flying object? seriously. why don't you talk about something noteworthy instead of trying to knock kucinich down based on trivial bullshit.

he's the only candidate FOR the people and BY the people. Ron Paul only pretends to.

    yeah. thanks.

  • KOOK FRINGE - kucinich

    idealistic fools - kucinich supporters

  • Gee, you know, the last 10 or so comments you made on this video weren't very convincing; this one, however, finally made me realize how crazy I was. Thank you!

  • like i said...

use your intellect and then comment.

was martin luther king an idealist? what about the women's suffrage movement? was that idealistic?

kucinich has a vision-a practical one, too. healthcare for all. education for all. never using war as an instrument of policy. trading fairly. out of NAFTA. out of iraq immediately.

these things are not impossible at all. it's about time start fighting for them.

  • im1veryproudamerican......

    ur1veryembarrassingamerican2me

  • Reagan saw a UFO twice. I guess you have to see one for each term you spend in office.

  • How is he an embarassment?

  • And Hillary took crapload of money from the HEALTH INSURANCE companies and voted to authorize the Iraq War... And who are YOU more embarassed by? I wouldn't care if he said he saw a dozen UFO's with Santa Claus and a robot. And some people think they should elect John Edwards because he's white has a nice haircut. Fuck what you and the media think his chances are.

  • Parties USUALLY have nothing to do with debates. That is how it has almost always been.

This is why the Commission for Presidential Debates exists: the Rep and Dem parties wanted to control the debates, instead of allowing third parties like the LWV and newspapers and TV stations to do it.

And now, thanks to the CPD, the debates in the general are *more closed than ever.* So I am glad the parties don't control it, even though I think DK should have been in this debate.

  • des moines register..- LIBERAL media at it's worst!

a moderator who would NOT allow discussion of important events like iraq, immigration, and who asked loaded questions to illicit a negative light towards rep's.

the show of hands was like asking a controlled question like:

have you ever been caught masturbating?

    lose/lose type quest.

  • How very liberal of them, not including Dennis. In your calculation, if Dennis is a Liberal Kook, and the Register is the Liberal media, shouldn't they include him?

  • i'm back...

  • because he's fucking crazy...

  • KUCINICH didn't attend a Bilderberg meeting :(

  • Cracks me up that the very same people that scream and shout about how government is f*cking up this...or that...can NOT do anything right!

line up like sheep, and DEMAND the government be in charge of their health!

    BBWWAAhahahahahahahahaha

candidates like a paul or a kucinich have a field day with the young and idealistics....

  • No they aren't. The people who think the government can't do shit are conservatives, the personal-freedoms crowd. Sure, liberals think the government could do a better job, but that's very different. So who's your candidate, having a field day?

  • Probably most admired politician for me (now) is Joe Lieberman.

1.Someone who understands how things work, has a record of accomplishment the sewer/ Washington.

2.understand the serious threat from a dedicated, ruthless, enemy, eager to kill themselves, their own kids, and countless innocent women and children, for just the chance to kill anyone that dares believe differently than they!

3.Someone that puts what's best for the country ahead of his own agenda, or some party affiliation.

  • Uh, yeah, he cares so little for his own success. Lieberman...

  • Lieberman, stood tall and spoke from his gut with regards to the terrible threat islamic jihadists pose.

his own party (the very ones that vaulted him to their V/P title a couple years ago) tried to kill his career, ruin his lifes work,

he agains stood tall, faught back, and won!

(which, when your fighting democrats, is pretty easy stuffs)

dem's stand for NOTHING...except getting elected!

  • Islamic Jihadists are not as big a threat as lieberman claims. Bush's idea of bombing iran is much more dangerous.

  • Besides, he should talk from his Brain.

  • Lieberman = the Republican's Democrat. What a joke! Lieberman should just tell us all the truth - that he's REPUBLICAN who could care less about us real people (i.e. people that make less than six figures a year!) He's the real NUT job!

  • "2. ..... a dedicated, ruthless, enemy, eager to kill...countless innocent women and children, for just the chance to kill anyone that dares believe differently than they!"-----

...sounds like a lot of U.S. government foreign policy!

  • I'd also like to add that I called Iowa Public Television and asked why he was excluded. They said " Because he's a creepy little communist."

  • actually...HE'S A WHACKED OUT, FLYING SAUCER SEEING SOCIALIST! (not a lot different than the facts you show, but a distinction,..just sayin)

  • The facts, what facts? And I still dare you to mention just WHEN Dennis ever mentioned flying saucers. Your imagination's added those...proudamerican home phone.

  • Socialism - health care for people, concern for workers not CEOs, concern for others regardless of backround...

Capitalism - Concern for no one. Which of these sounds more CHRISTIAN to you? Doesn't that make you proud to be an American capitalist? Seen any UFOs lately?

  • SOCIALISM

taking away from those who work, are productive, and PRODUCE

and giving to those, who DO NOT!

It's a great way to get elected, as human nature likes and responds to "sumin fer nuttin" mentality! circa/Hewey Long

  • Liar...even FOX wouldn't go out and say that themselves.

  • Very funny. So why are 39% of Americans in favor of imeaching not just Cheney, but Bush, too? They must be you, idealistic fools. 120 million of them.

  • Some of us old, jaded, nearly-despairing fools buy it because in spite of all the evidence we just can't see to go ahead and give up hope completely...AND WE KNOW...and we know that the ONLY HOPE LEFT for this country is to loudly and utterly DENOUNCE what has been done in and by and to the United States in the last six years. If we don't, this nation deserves exactly what it will be getting.

  • sorry for this news...

  • How about full disclosure of the results of the Kucinich money bomb.

Or is full disclosure only something you demand of others?

  • Don't be a douche.

What are you, some antagonistic Ron Paul brat? Clearly Kucinich didn't raise close to Paul's $6 million... even if he raised $150k for the day, that's a significant chunk of change for a grassroots candidate.

Nothing against Ron Paul. But you, my friend, can shut your fat mouth and stop being a hater. Have you tried calling the official campaign? I'm sure they'll be friendly about it.

  • I haven't said on any message boards whom I'm supporting. For all you know, I could be a Clinton or Obama supporter.

Just because I point out the differences between Paul and Kucinich doesn't mean I'm supporting Paul.

  • Ooooo, you're soooo mysterious, not divulging who you are supporting. I'd respect you even less were you a Clinton or Obama supporter rather than for Paul.

I only assumed you may support Paul because you are being such an ASS about Kucinich's mass donation day, which was immediately followed by Paul's monumental fundraiser.

  • Again, no disrespect to Ron Paul and his non-grating supporters.

  • Sad that real statesmen like Kuccinich, Gravel, and to a somewhat lesser extent Ron Pual are treated like this.

  • the SAD (for you), reality is, they are kook fringe candidates. long gone after super tuesday...(thank god)

  • im1proudamerican your pride should be crushed for that last comment. The fact is that americans with your mentallity are the reason that we had 2 "KOOKS"(Bush, Kerry) running for president in the last election. "FRINGE CANDIDATES" is a term that the MSM uses to TRY to impair our judgement. Which obviously has happend to you.

  • For people (Davis and friends) who claim to be "Truthseekers" I don't hear too many of you reporting the "truth" about how much Dennis raised for his money bomb.

Aren't you proud of how much you helped him raise, whether it be a lot or a little?

  • Yea this is BS...I'm a paul supporter and i like Kuccinich and I'M wondering was their a bias to certain candidates? Were adding alan to make republicans more hype and cause more talk? And not letting Dennis Kuccinich and Mike Gravel to participate..This is messed up..Keep us informed about the answers they will give you

  • that's weak.

  • When is the last time you seen real reporters

    ask real quistions??

These are newsmakers and policy makers in action!!

  • I know how to fix that...DON'T VOTE DEMOCRATIC!!!

    RP

    08

  • And give UP? Thank you, no.

  • Keep up the good work.

  • Sorry for your exclusion Kucinich, Davis Fleetwood would probably have suggested that you show up anyway and throw a fit when they don't give you a microphone and a pedestal, and see what happens.

  • Yes, yes, it is. And even more sad is I just found out Christopher Columbus committed genocide of the Arawak peoples he encountered. There may have been as many as 8 million, peaceful, gift-bringing human beings wiped out by someone we think of as a "hero". That's the Old Boys Club version of history.

  • Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Or questioning, more accurately, and the question is: Are there any people in the public eye who are courageous enough to answer the HARD questions? Stonewalling, at its finest. Discouraging.

  • Davis, very nice. Good "keep going" attitude.

    Rock on man, rock on.

    5st.

    ~MITU

  • Don't get me wrong, I like Kucinich. And whoever let Alan Keyes participate should lose their job, but wtf, were you trying to do a michael moore impersonation? The dude from the register told you exactly the information you needed to follow up (at Iowa Public Television) like 3 times, and you just didn't seem to get it. Then you went to the Iowa Democratic Party office for some reason, instead of going to IPT and made yourself look like more of a moron. Good job, dufus.

  • look "SAUCY"

I was at IOWA PUBLIC TV- right at the start of the video.

I could not get access to speak to anyone.

  • So that means you just go somewhere unrelated and ask someone something that they have no direct knowledge of. That seems like pretty cheesy journalism to me.

Look, I respect the intention of your piece. Kucinich should have be allowed to participate. It's not fair how Main Stream Media treats candidates it has decided are not front-runners. I sympathize, I support Ron Paul. I just don't appreciate how you went about trying to make (and failing to prove) your point.

  • SAUCY-

UNRELATED- The Des Moines Register SPONSORED THE DEBATE- Seems pretty related to me!

But, as a Ron Paul Zombie- you are not used to thinking, so.....

  • I said the democratic party of Iowa chick was unrelated, (which she said herself) not the register. Obviously the register was related, they sponsored it. That does not mean, however that that is there main focus. Obviously it's not, and that probably 99% of the employees of that newspaper were not involved in any way with the debate. (Like the people you met at the Register)

  • That guy was like the managing editor! He demanded to speak to someone who WAS involved in the Debate, and he was willing to wait. Apparently, according to your thesis, neither the Register NOR the Iowa Democratic party had ANYONE who was involved making decisions about the debate or had any knowledge of it.

  • First of all, he didn't demand to speak to someone who WAS involved in the debate, he demanded to "speak to someone who could speak for the Register." And as the register only sponsored the debate. That's like asking Nike why certain decisions were made at the Olympics because they paid to have their logo there.

And if you want to know my thesis, it's there to read, I suggest you do it again, that's not what I said.

  • So who WAS doing the organization? The TV network, who told them to go to the Register? SO everyone is deflecting blame. But the thing is, someone is responsile for this sh*t, and everyone should support an effort to find out who. If they cover their asses, it was probably them. If you don't have anything to hide, you don't tell anyone to turn the camera off...

  • Well IPTV did not tell him to go to the Register, but other than that I totally agree with you. Somebody screwed up, or is being completely unfair. There is no reason Kucinich shouldn't be allowed to participate. He's a legitimate candidate who's even placed first in an Iowa poll. Much more than I can say for Alan Keyes who proved himself to be a joke on the one debate he was allowed to be on.

  • Actually, this being a huge, HUGE, event, bringing THEM to the center of national attention for a week, it probably WAS their main focus, wouldn't you think?

  • How can all these people not know the answers? They claimed they don't, yet are top personnel belonging to organizations that played a major role. They SHOULD know, if they were doing their job right!

  • Ok, your top personnel/all these people are two people, one girl at the front desk and one middle management (or whatever) guy at a newspaper who obviously had no role in the debate. The debate was sponsored by the register and the editor was the moderator. From what I can tell, the people who actually ran it were at IPTV, where Davis Fleetwood was told to go to get his questions answered. Why didn't he go there?

  • That's where he went in the beginning. They told him to turn off the Camerca and then to go to the Register.

  • Save your strength. This has already been explained to saucypuck. S/he is incapable of getting it.

  • Watch it again, nobody told him to go to the register.

The chick at IPTV said she couldn't get press credentials at that time or something like that and then he did a voice over saying men in dark suits with earpieces kicked him out. If he had a camera that was rolling at the time, why didn't we see that? And why would would a PBS station have secret service-typed security?

  • He was told to turn off the camera, which is why we will never know what happened, except for what he tells us. But he posted earlier that they HAD told him to go to the register.

  • SAUCY

IOWA PUBLIC TV had secret servive because Hillay Clinton, you know- a former first lady, was in the building.

  • @saucypuck notice how he didn't respond entirely to your comment either. Just the sercret service part... Which still has yet to be seen on the video...like you said... this dude is completely whack.

  • I would just like to know how much Kucinich raised. Why is it such a secret? Does anyone know?

  • ffffffing bullshit!!

  • How much did Kucinich raise for his money bomb? Why won't anyone say?

Ron Paul -- 6 million dollars

  • how does this relate?

  • Gotta say--this them, SOO-oft echoed here, is pretty silly to some of us who have watched such "mine-is-bigger-than-yours" posturing with amusement and /or annoyance for forever....The thing is, it's the same mentality that has brought us, "Guantanimo" and "I'm the Decider" and "You want to see World War III?"----ENOUGH, already?!

  • I made a comment and got two reponses in my e mail and they were in german and took me to a german version of this. That was weird. Now my comment seems to be gone as well. Anybody know why?

  • Go get 'em, Davis!!

    Punch through the media filter.

    Kucinich 2008!

  • Thank you, LevanahMoon. I have heard Naomi Wolf interviewed on several alternative news programs. She has done a great job in delineating how the US has followed the classic path to fascism. All we need is a couple of more factors--terror attacks or financial meltdown--and we'll arrive at the full-fledged form.

  • RE: fascism, or more broadly, totalitarianism--PLEASE read THE END OF AMERICA, by Naomi Wolf, NOW! There is a virtual playbook followed by every totalitarian state arisen in the 20th centure, and the United States has been following each step and has progressed pretty far along the path. This is NOT hysteria, just a calm observation of concrete events. It may look slightly different from one place to the next, but at heart, it is the same. Wolf calmly outlines it.

  • Levanah - thumbs up for recommending Naomi Wolf's book.

yeah, it's very calm, and very concrete.
