  • do you live in North Carolina?

  • LOL u look like Demetri Martin

  • What made you really like snakes

  • where can i get heat tape

  • do u keep all of your snakes in tubs or do u have tanks for each 1

    message me back

    please

  • you need to get a bearded dragon

  • @MrMTNDeWdrinker bearded dragon is a lot of work if your a busy person.

  • do you have to worry about the heat tape melting the plastic rack? If not that's cool cause I have that same rack laying around the house and didn't think to use it.

  • not if you have it plugged into a thermostat. think of it this way, if the heat tape is getting hot enough to melt the plastic then its way to hot for the snake, no matter what your keeping it in! haha =]

  • cool, have you ever had a reptile tank on there? I have that whole rack about 4 levels to it and I have a 55 gallon tank. You think it would hold that if i placed the rack side by side with only leopard geckos in it?

  • why do ur tubs have condensation on them?

  • because ball pythons like it to be a little bit humid in there so i mist the cages ever now and then.

  • whats the relative humidity in the tubs when you arent misting? and what city do you live in if you dont mind me asking i live near the beach and its pretty humid.

  • im not sure, i just mist it every now and then and they do fine. i live in a city called Menifee. =]

  • im not trying to put you down or anything, and i you do have a plan thts great, but what do you plan to do with all these when/if you go to college?

  • keep them. im planing on going to a collage thats not to far from my house so i dont have to change anything that im doing with my reptiles. =]

  • oh your just gonna go to one close by and just remain living at your house and kee 'em there?

  • you mensioned you had a tegu in this video but you didnt show it can you make a video on it

  • i didnt show her in this video is of my new reptile room and because she is really big and her cage isnt in side the reptile room. but if you want to see her look through my videos and you should be able to find atleast one video of her.

  • can you use tap water for reptiles

  • thats what ive always used and i have never had a problem. =]

  • yes

  • Wish I had a seperate room for reptiles! How do you keep the snakes in the plastic tubs warm?

  • i heat the whole room with a small room heater and then i also use heat tape for the hot side of each tub. =]

  • Great idea! I need to get me some of that heat tape.

  • heat mats or heat strips

  • You should really just get a professional made rack system.

  • ummm....ok??? thanks for that.....?

  • oh thats not bad. yea thats a good idea lol they need biggg cages. oh yea do you think those plastic tubs are big enough for full grown 4 ft ball pythons? and how do you keep all those tubs 85 degrees? and how much does it cost for all those snakes? i only have 2 a bp and western d. but the wd is kinda my dads so i wana get a boa.

  • oh yeah how long does it take each day to care for all those snakes u must have 12 of them? and what r u gona put the 2 annacondas and the burm in when they reach 6ft,10ft, 15ft?

  • if i check on them every day then it only takes like 5 min to take care of them because there is usually only like 1 or 2 that need to be cleaned at a time. on feeding day it takes a little longer, usually like half an hour just because i like to take my time and make sure they are all eating ok. for my big snakes im going to build/buy stackable 6x3ft cages. if the females get really big i might put them in a cage that is 8x4ft instead. =]

  • yeah thats definetely true actually. theres thoussands of burms in the everglades. yea stupid ppl are basically making it illegal for ppl like us to own burms... i dont have one but my uncle ron does. yea donnnnt get a w.d. though its a pain in the ass my dad helps a lot with it

  • oh yea try caring for a western diamonback... and yes i have one got it at northwestern berks reptile show

  • very cool! those are illegal over here so i only have experience with them in the field but they are awesome animals to work with none the less! =]

  • "if your going to get one then the last thing you should be asking is if they are aggresive." ahhh... that doesnt make sense.. and u dont have to be an asshole to "papamarcus23".. you act like you know everything about snakes. when your older and grow up and get a p.h.d. in herpetology, then you can talk like that.. no offense but dont be cocky

  • sorry i didnt mean to sound like an asshole. it just pisses me off how many ppl i get saying "oh jeff im getting a burm next week, i can tame it right?" it makes me mad because if they are asking a silly question like that then it show that they have done little to no research, yet they are going out and getting a snake that will grow to be 18+ feet long and can very easily kill someone. just look at whats going on in FL, thats because of a lack of research.

  • and now because of all that stuff in FL ppl are trying to make it illegal to keep any kind of python in the U.S.

so thats why i get a little pissy when i get questions like that.

  • yea it pretty much sucks to live here in florida rite now... alot of snakes are starting to become illegal but mostly rite now you have to get a permit for special snakes like the burmese or tree pythons its good in way because now you have to get everything checked out before you buy one... but still sux lol

  • is your burmese pyhton aggresive

  • nope, none of my snakes are. =]

  • sweet because i am going to get one

  • if your going to get one then the last thing you should be asking is if they are aggressive.

i could be wrong but it doesnt sound like you have done your research there for you are probably not ready for a snake such as a burmese python.

if you have any questions i will be more than happy to help you how ever i can. i hate seeing new keepers get in over their head because of a lack of knowledge.

sorry if i came across as rude...i just dont want you to do something you will regret.

  • well, i use to have over 20 reptiles snakes lizards and some frogs but i was moving and i could not bring them with me so i gave them to my uncle to keep until we were finished moving and we told him do not sell them. but he sold without letting us know.

  • that doesnt mean you you know how to care for large snakes...

do you know where your going to get large rabbits or chickens for it when it gets big? do you have atleast 1 person to be with you at any time you need to open its cage once it gets over 6ft long? will you be scared of a 18ft snake that WILL try to bite you every time you open its cage? do you know what size of cage is best for a snake that large, or how you will heat the cage? do your parents know how big/expensive burms get?

  • Omg in the beginning the is another behind you making a vid too. LOL!

  • ya hes gottin alittle bigger =) blue tounged skinks are cool!

  • Hey man, nice video. Your nile always hiding under the waterbowl like that is it's way of telling you that it wants more places that are tight and dark to hide in. Add more! Other than that, good work with the room.

  • what caused your burms mouth rot that sucks ill be getting my female albino burm tuesday peace out bro

  • well their was another sick burmese python at the pet store that i bought her at but i didnt think she would get sick because she was not in the same cage as the sick one. oh and it started out as respiratory infection (RI)and that can lead mouth rot. and thats what happend to her because i did not take her to the vet soon enough.

  • man that sucks but glad she is getting better, yea i never buy my reptiles at pet shops just because they specialize in to many animals besides reptiles and cant give the reptiles the proper car they need to keep them healthy well dude good luck and peace out

    Slithering Films

  • You should give those snakes hides, and that looks really humid for those bp's. But i love the burm i cant wait till mine gets that big!!

  • well the spider spilled her water dish and as for the other ones, i only put holes on one half of the tub so that they can choose to be on the humid side or the dry side and that way they dont get stressed out if its not humid enough or if its to humid. thanks for the camment! =)

  • dude you look huge you bench alot, nice snakes

  • ya im pretty big but i dont really work out at all, let alone lift weights! haha! =P
