hey I know from my own experience that your ratio of ratings to views is not accurate. I have a video with 30,000 views and only about 100 ratings. The bulk of the views came through links. Where the heck does this "fact" come from?

I had my Puppets-a go-go video categorey featured a while back, at the time it had around 800 views, not sure of the ratings, but I think it was around 12. After the feature it jumped to over 12,000 views yet only 6 comments and 49 ratings. I did not do any refreshing or cheating.

I am not defending Allen, he can do that himself but a video on my channel, "one guy one spoon" which is a parody of one girl one cup currently has 76,000 views yet only 115 ratings.. however that video has been linked to many websites and I am even shocked @ the amount of views.. when linked to outsources you wont get ratings.. so that logic doesnt work in ever instance..

The ratios on vids are thrown out of whack, on a regular basis. That video, along with my "Going Bald" vid, were featured in the Mobile section on the YT home page. I got a small # of ratings on the bald vid, but a lot of hits in a couple days. I don't think you could even rate a mobile vid then. You can now, but thats in the "new features" section.

The views/ratings/comments also get skewed when a vid is embedded. Each of those were embedded by multiple websites, at one time, because of the nature of their content. The "freak" vid used to be linked to all kinds of tattoo and piercing sites. Another example is my Golf vid. It was embedded on over 40 websites at one time. With the few links it has now, (5) it has over 150 clicks. None of those can be rated or commented on. Just another example of your "formula" being flawed.

If it was for self promotion, I would have never handed it off to another user, and set it up, the way it is structured. I had problems the actual video, and the way Staff is using the CC as a PR tool and focus group. That's not the CC members fault. Second, after you've rated, you can't rate again, so you might watch a video again and again.
