A longer scale length means a lot more clarity on drop tunings which is why ppl prefer them. Not dissing ur vid. Jus saying. This guitar is awesome btw.
@mindmolester7 so what your saying is that if i cant sweep i shouldnt have a guitar where i could learn to sweep with an added string and to extend my range? there's more to a guitar then just sweeping, you know that right? that's like telling someone to not buy a guitar because they just plan on learning other people's songs and not making their own stuff. having the low A adds a whole new world to making music, i use it as a drone quite a bit. you get what i mean?
@jackass311 i know that there is more to playing guitar then sweeping, but my opinion is that you dont deserve a 1000 dollar guitar if youre not skilled enough to sweep
@jackass311 i know theres more to guitar then sweeping but my opinion is that if you dont have enough skill to sweep you dont deserve a 1000 dollar guitar
@jackass311 lol im 17 and youre going to regret talking to me like that once i start uploading vids at the end of the month ill be sure to mention you
@mindmolester7 no, i dont think i will regret talking to you like that. but go ahead and mention me in your video, ya fuckin dumbass. while you're uploading your "vids" wasting your time and "mentioning" me in said vids, i'll be off doing adult things like paying rent, working, going to college, and more important things than worrying about what some dip shit thinks of me. i could care less how old you are by the way, but thanks for letting me know. It just makes you seem 13
@mindmolester7 What the fuck dude. The point of a musical instrument is to make music. Sweeping is nothing but a technique to make music. I suck at it, doesn't matter. I still love using arpeggios in whatever way i see fit to communicate my ideas. And to reply to your other comment about "deserving" a guitar, that is so fucking stupid. You deserve whatever you pay for with your own money. You're probably a 13 year old who's mommy and daddy still buy you things with THEIR money.
I'm sorry. But I expected you to be so much better at guitar. Seeing how that particular instrument costs 725 bucks. I'm really not trying to offend you or anything. You'll get better with practice. =)
@q34r34t i am much better but this wasnt supposed to be a demonstration of skill. im a little busy nowadays to post up vids of covers :-( it's hella unfortuntate, but i got this guitar before they got that expensive so no worries on price. im workin on finishing up my Bachelor's Degree and becoming a police officer and possibly getting my bounty hunter's license. guitar is now just a way to relax and i find it kind of a waste of time to put videos on youtube now. its all good though!
@jackass311 Oh okay lol. My bad, cause most people just think they're really fuckin' good and spend a shitload of money on stuff and they barely know anything about their craft.
How do you think this thing would hold up to some TesseracT tuning? (Bb F Bb Eb F Bb Eb) I know their guitarists use 26.5 scale Ibanez guitars, how do you think a 27 scale would hold?
@jackass311 Hmm. Okay thanks. I plan on getting my first 7 string as a 25.5 scale, likely an Agile, was just wondering how well a 27 would work for this tuning. I'm probably best off getting that Ibanez instead.
@LPSGRGES well with the 27" i hardly noticed a difference, i actually prefer playing my agile over any of my other guitars i have owned. so i think going ibanez would be a bad decision when i thinking you're getting a better guitar overall with the Agile and you're getting it for like $600 cheaper (just a guess, cause i just know most other 7 string guitars are way more expensive).
@jackass311 Yeah, I guess that would make sense. There are only two models of 26.5 scale 7 strings that Ibanez put out, and one has a girbirator bridge and is $600 While the Edge trem one is $1500. I love how affordable Agile guitars are, can't wait to get my hands on one... Thanks for all your help, my only remaining question is did you make a custom set of strings because of the weird tuning?
@LPSGRGES Same here man, Agile is definitely the way to go. but then again my opinion is biased because i try to shy away from name brand guitars because i feel like you're pretty much paying for the brand, as well as a great guitar, but mostly the name. Agile is still semi-unknown, but Kurt (the guy who runs the site) is super cool cause back when i was getting my guitar he was super chill about everything and telling me he wants to keep stuff cheap. the strings are the ones that came stock man
Yeah... So upon watching this again (it's been a while) I did talk waaaay too much. Props to you guys if you finished it but I admit that I didnt get more than a minute or two in. I will probably do another review as soon as I find time in my schedule... Between school, job searching, spending time with my fiancee who is in fact a female, and planning a wedding/ reception with said female I'm either too tired or not motivated enough to play some gtar :-(
song at 5:41 thanks for this review dude i really appreciate it lovely guitar u got there do you regret buying it? im think of getting a red one without a floyd. thanks again dude.
@bklixuz yeah i tend to keep pretty happy. but i tend to stick with the female side of the species, seeing as how im engaged. It's cool if you are though, i dont judge. i think it'll help a lot when im at Marine Corps bootcamp and homosexual peeps can openly express it. now is good practice with you though, i fully support you liking men as long as you get your job done.
@meneguzzer it's stupid great, not video. and im pretty sure im tuned... also, how can a video be stupid? it's a recording of something on video, thus making it an inanimate object. that's like saying a frisbee is stupid because it didnt fly like you wanted it to, not even that. it's stupid just because it IS, it is stupid because it exists. your logic is unsound, thus making you look severely unintelligent. so yeah, by definition a video can't be stupid. check yourself before you wreck yourself
got mine a week ago! the setup came whacked out set up to tight to tune to B standard but not a big deal. I set it up to Drop Ab and it is 100% dead fucking on in every aspect of intonation! Throw a noise suppressor in the chain to take advantage of the active EMGs and your fucking set! The 27inch allows for low low action with no buzz what so ever! Best guitar for the money ever!!!
i really want the guitar but im nervous about the floyd because i have 2 guitars with floyd and i prefer not to have it. and they don't have a guitar in that color without the floyd.. do you recommend it with the floyd? does it stay in tune well? or should i just find a custom like it?
dude im buying the 6 string model but im just waiting for rondo to get the hardcase instock. i just need to know that the neck hasnt got a flat back, their rounded yeh?
@MusicToMyEars36 nice dude, id almost suggest just doing the seven string... but it is kinda funky when im only playing six of the strings sometimes and im like, "wait, what's that doing there!?" but yeah it's rounded and super smooth, i love playing that guitar!
@xXEsPLoVeRXx you have to buy it separate, but when it's in the same order as the guitar it lowers the shipping cost. Total, with shipping & handling, the case, and obviously... The GUITAR!!! :-) it ended up being the hilarious price of about $777.98!!! i thought it was pretty sick that for buying my first seven string it was 777 bucks, so a legit 7 string for 777 and i absolutely love this thing!!
@jackass311 lol, nice. i like the guitar though. i've been thinking about getting that. how does it play? is it that much of a change from 6 to 7 strings?
@drummerdudeperson It plays amazingly dude! Like my friend played it and he was all bummed cause he got a schecter 7-string for like 400 bucks more and he liked mine better. They were the same in almost every aspect; pickups, etc. but mine is an extended range baritone scale so he liked mine more. To be honest dude I was a little worried about the difference between a 7 and 6 string, but after just playing the guitar for the first time I could hardly feel a difference. I love this guitar!!
@takayfawk should i have not given all the information about the guitar and let ya listen to how it sounds? cause watching the other video reviews for this guitar before i bought mine made me so horny, me love you loooooooong time. for like yeeeear, yeeeeeeeear and half. was there just not a lot of info or what?
@hshugos1 Huh?? that doesnt make sense... do you mean i suck or what? if so i am aware the playing wasnt that great, i was just doing the vid to get another review of this amazing guitar up
@GioBUC760 it is soooo so smooth man!! if i somehow forgot to play guitar i would just sit and rub my wood... all the time... i could also just hang this on the wall and stare at it all day. you wont regret it man!!
You totally relieved me about the 27in scale. because my hands are pretty good size and i didn't know if i was gonna be able to make the strechs but i can see i will. Thanks for the review, and keep playing!
@poiuytrewq95 id probably go 27" man... i absolutely love this guitar, and i thought it'd be a big stretch as well going from 25 inchers to 27 but honestly. you only notice it in the first 4 or 5 frets because they are a tiny bit further apart, and even then it's not that big of a deal. a 30" would be crazy cause you know, it's 5"s longer than what youre used to whereas the 27 is only 2.
