I had the other taurus model 22 pop-up (non-DA) and it was a nice feeling hand gun.
The great thing about pop-ups that most people dont realize is that a pop-up can be used as a single shot arm and you can shoot any type of 22 round that you want ie.. L, LR, S or even bird shot. For self defence though you must use CCI, it is far supeour to any 22 round on the market.
Don't give law abiding, legal gun owners a bad image. You know you can legally own that thing in 50 states unless you are a convict so drop that gangster persona.
Personally, I don't like this one bit. It jams waaay too much and I've had problems with the firing pin coming out of the slide. A new slide was almost as much as the damn gun! And you have to special order them. I'd save up a little bit more to buy a Walther P22 instead, they're much better. Not to mention Taurus's customer support is awful.

Dry-firing rimfire guns can lead to peening of the chamber's edge, or you can destroy your firing pin. Never dry fire a rimfire without a snap cap or a spent round in the chamber.

Dry-firing rimfire guns can lead to peening of the chamber's edge, or you can destroy your firing pin. Never dry fire a rimfire without a snap cap or a spent round in the chamber.

Thanks, I've had one since 2001 and only shot it a few times. I was not sure how to break down and clean so your vid helped. Looking forward to getting my new Ruger LCP with Crimson Trace sites when my permit comes back. I may sell my PT-22 but maybe I'll keep it in the safe, just in case someone makes me open it.
