  • @TheShazzh Bulgarian is a bit more different actually. Because all the languages came from one slavonic language, except Bulgarian- it's a mix between that same slavonic and some Old-Native-Bulgarian.

  • @sladunkaAa i wonder about the same thing..

  • @30indhira ookay so its like this i know 5 russians 1 serbian and i am a bulgarian you wouldn't believe the difference between us its like i can read russian and they can read bulgarian i can understand a little slavic and they can understand bulgarian yet i have no idea if russians can understand slavic weird

  • i personally think nina dobreva sounds really sexy and appealing, but it was her choice to change it... if that was my last name i wouldnt have cuz as i said before being called by that name... uff it's just really hawtt

  • in a way I understand why she removed the a from dobreva..I live in England (I am a Bulgarian)and when they pronounce my last name sounds terrible...but I am not a famous actress so I don't have to change my name ;)) very proud of her though, giving Bulgaria something to be proud of..

  • @SoAdoreblyClueless Bulgarian is Slavian language is it ? The Alfabeth look like Russian but they are not same.

  • I love George Lopez, he is very very handsome.. He's cool.

Аз обичам Джордж Лопез, той е много, много хубав.. Той е печен.

LOL. :D I'm bulgarian too, btw.

  • Her real name is Dobreva. I HATE HATE HATE when a female changes her name to male name. Dobrev is a male name, hello! Real Bulgarians don't do that.

  • Предполагам, че си българка/българин, така, че ще пиша на български. Името и е Добрев, защото е получила американско гражданство :) Oh, if u r not bulgarian : She received U.S. citizenship, thats why her name is dobrev :)

  • @ShiningXStar100 , changing your name is NOT necessary when you change your citizenship. There is NO SUCH requirement, to change if from female to male. I know PLENTY of Slavs, including Bulgarians who hold on to their REAL names. Example: all my friends and Maria Sharapova...

  • @Tihbialdunav You and your friends and Maria Sharapova are not Nina Dobrev, she doesn't have to follow your way of life, she can do what she wants with her name. She is an actress, many actor/actress change their names to make it easier for recognition and pronunciation when they join the screen actors guild, in fact, many casting agencies will tell them that and many foreign actors/actress have done that. And why the hell does it matter she changed her name, it's not your name.

  • @BetaArtemis , of course she can do whatever she wants and this was her parents decision, not hers anyway. But changing your name, so it doesn't sound Bulgarian anymore means she is not a true Bulgarian and shuns her roots. It's DISRESPECTFUL.

  • @Tihbialdunav ...

    It's called a stage name.

  • @Tihbialdunav I think she changed it to have a more appealing name. It sounds more american when its just Nina Dobrev, not that there is anything wrong with bulgarian or any other language. It's just easier to be recognized with a more familiar sounding name, and I personally don't think it makes her a bad Bulgarian at all. :)

  • @Tihbialdunav um she went changing it to male version on purpose she just knocked of the a because its easier to pronounce then dobreva

  • @Tihbialdunav what??? she's proud she is a bulgarian and she changed her name so it can sound better for them, that's not bad!!!! she's not a real bulgarian if she changes her name from female to male???? what the...??? you hate it when female changes her name to male, when has that happend really???? don't comment so hatefull to her....

  • @gergerryo , imagine Sharapova changing her name to ...Sharapov! That would be stupid and all Russia would laugh at her. There is absolutely no need to change your name from FEMALE to MALE unless you are a TRANNY.

  • @Tihbialdunav HATE for no reason? That's so... Bulgarian? In certain languages, like English, when it comes to family names, there is no such things like male or female. If she has on her birth certificate her father's family name in legal terms it should be Dobrev. :)

  • @milenatanasov , no it's pure stupidity. Real Bulgarians never change their name to please...SOMEBODY(like who?!?).

  • @Tihbialdunav By saying REAL Bulgarian, you mean what?Bulgarian citizen? She is obviously not. I live in Montreal and I have couple of friends with the same issues - their newborn female children have birth certificates with names endings -ov/ev, the authorities just copy and paste their father's family names...

BTW how it sounds for you Gerdson and Gerdsdottir. Completely different? Actually they are brother and sister with SAME family name :)

  • @milenatanasov , duh, of course dottir means daughter, and son means... SON. So you won't meet any woman in Iceland whose name is Gerdson. And intelligent immigrants like Sharapova will never change to ...Sharapov, period. It's always the wannabes who don't have respect for their culture and rape their real names for no reason. Nina Dobrev sounds stupid.

  • @Tihbialdunav She didn't change her last name to please anyone. She just goes by dobrev, the dobreva is still documented. Canada is a free country she can do whatever. Sorry it offends you...

  • @Tihbialdunav Who the hell cares why she changed her name, actors change and shorten and modify their names all the time when they do stage names to join the screen actors guild. Besides, it's her name and she can do whatever she wants with it and it's none of your business. Who the hell are you to decide who is a real Bulgarian or not, stop acting like some conceited sexist superior asshole. Nobody gives a damn in this day and age who's got a male or female name.

  • She does have a bit of an accent. =)

And I guess her slang isn't up to date, I don't know anyone who uses "pechen" nowadays.

    But she's a sweetheart.

  • She says: Аз обичам Джордж Лопез, той е много,много хубав. Той е печен.

  • shes is way too skinny i need a woman with like a ghetto booty and some meat know what im sayyin

  • I Love Her !! <3

  • OMG .. she talk Bulgarian very well I'm Bulgarian too and I'm very pround with her ..

  • @MrJelenafan shes from Bulgaria I hope she could speak it well... thats where she was born and raised

  • @DeMarco1121 She wasn't really raised in Bulgaria, as a matter of fact. But her Bulgarian is awesome nonetheless.

  • @Firewalkerbg yeah i know and i'm a bulgarian so i'm kinda proud that even thou she was not raised in bulgaria she know the language perfectly

  • in english??

  • I'am from bulgaria !Nina is very pretty and so sweet !Жалко,че малко е забравила Българския

  • Tolkova e sladka.. :)

  • I'am from bulgaria and she say "I love George Lopez,he is very very pretty . He is cool. " Not hot....

  • qko ;)

  • She said: Аз обичам Джордж Лопез, той е много, много хубав.Той е печен.I love George Lopez, He is smoken.

  • What exactly she says is

in Bulgarian "Аз обичам Джордж Лопез,той е много много хубав.Той е печен!"

in English "I love George Lopez,he is very very handsome. He's smoking!"(печен can be also taken as hot, nice, awesome and etc.)

Here's some transcryption: "Az obicham George Lopez, toi e mnogo mnogo hubav.Toi e pechen!"

    Hope I've helped :)

  • Тя говори... БЪЛГАРИЯ RULLZZZ

  • she speaks better than I do and I lived in Bulgaria until I was 12...I get stage fright when I have to speak only in Bulgarian....:(....Does anyone have any tips for me?

  • @SubRosa999 Practice it more : )

  • nooo she said I love George Lopez, He is Smoken. If u see the whole video she translated to what she meant.

  • It sounds funny. :D

  • aww hahaha That's so cool ! I am from Bulgaria and i can understand everything :D

  • @Gabriella22101 Seriozno ? Ma ne sa bazikash nali ?

  • How can I write what she said?

  • @LolaLeonMania Bulgarian- Аз обичам Джордж Лопез.Той е много.много красив!Той е готин.

  • @brooklyn0romeo0cruz Не каза точно това, ама карай...

  • @brooklyn0romeo0cruz they use the same letters as in serbia right? ;)

  • @SoAdoreblyClueless No!Bulgarians are so much better! :))

  • @brooklyn0romeo0cruz i didn't ask who was better only if they use the same letters as in serbia, i'm Serbian haha

  • @brooklyn0romeo0cruz: dude...really..I love Bulgarian as much as you do..but do you really have to dis the Serbian alphabet when it's Cyrillic too

  • @silenteyesspy serbian alphabet looks weird to me. with the j's

  • @zakyzeek: that's the only thing that I still haven't figured out, is why not just use the ja from the Bulgarian alphabet

  • @silenteyesspy yeah, the backwards R is awesome (if not a bit over-used in bulgarian :)))))

  • @brooklyn0romeo0cruz not realy....

  • @brooklyn0romeo0cruz bulgarian is so simmilar to russian lol

  • @brooklyn0romeo0cruz YEAHHHHHHH! :D

  • @brooklyn0romeo0cruz excuse me but how are bulgarians better than serbian people?I am serbian but i do like bulgarians and i would never say something like that about you guys. Please stop spreading bad vibes about serbia that's just cruel!I don't care what happend in the past i wasn't born then,i just think we should be at peace with everybody!no more fighting !world could be so much better place if we could watch our language and stop saying shit about eachother.

  • @RockUniverse90 dude,i do not say anything bad..

  • @RockUniverse90 he/she meant that the bulgarian cyrillic is better than serbian. CALM DOWN

  • @zakyzeek oh i get it now,sorry i overreacted .Bulgarian cyrillic is nice :)

  • @RockUniverse90 just a little misunderstanding :)

  • @SoAdoreblyClueless

now that's cool! the thing is that the bulgarian alpahbet is the base of all present cyrillic alphabets - ALL, i mean... it is called cyrillic by the name of the 2 bulgarians that created the ancient one - Cyril and Methodius.

it is cool when they ask me - "so bulgarian il like russian?" hahaha, nope, it is the opposite. :)))

  • @statichris Oh I didn't know that. I'm studying russian and really thought that russian was like the "model" for other east europe languages. You know what I mean?? Like ancient latin is the "model" for present spanish, french, portuguese, etc.

Thank you for the fact, now I know the truth hahaha.

  • @SweetLua

glad to help you learn something new. yeah, indeed... latin is great. i studied it a couple of years ago!

shame it is not used these days :D:D:D

  • @SweetLua Yep like the latin model. Only this time Bulgaria came to be way earlier than Kiev Russia and after becoming a beacon of Orthodox Christianity and blossoming culture, the neighbouring slavic countries took our model and in time made some changes. Russia has by far the most insignificant changes but overall yeah. Greetings from Bulgaria :)

  • @statichris cyril and methodius weren't bulgars, they were greek. but you're right that the oldest form of cyrillic was first used with bulgarian.

  • @zakyzeek If you are Bulgarian,I would tell you to shoot yourself for not knowing the Bulgarian history.Cyril and Methodius weren't Greeks , their mother and father were Slav and Byzantine.

  • @AmeliaVK oh so they both lived in byziantium or a slavic country? no, they were greek by nationality.

  • @zakyzeek I am bulgarian and I agree with you you`re right

  • @christinebecruel thank you.

  • @SoAdoreblyClueless: yes all us Slavs use the Cyrillic alphabet

  • @silenteyesspy no, croatian, bosnian, polish, czech, slovak, sorbian, kashubian, etc.

  • @SoAdoreblyClueless the letters are cyrillic. most of the slavic countries write in these.

  • @SoAdoreblyClueless r u serbian?

  • @SoAdoreblyClueless serbia has both latin and cyrilic in latin it is : AZ obicham Djordj Lopez. Toi e mnogo mnogo krasiv..
