She is an actress, many actor/actress change their names to make it easier for recognition and pronunciation when they join the screen actors guild, in fact, many casting agencies will tell them that and many foreign actors/actress have done that. And why the hell does it matter she changed her name, it's not your name.

now that's cool! the thing is that the bulgarian alpahbet is the base of all present cyrillic alphabets - ALL, i mean... it is called cyrillic by the name of the 2 bulgarians that created the ancient one - Cyril and Methodius.

Only this time Bulgaria came to be way earlier than Kiev Russia and after becoming a beacon of Orthodox Christianity and blossoming culture, the neighbouring slavic countries took our model and in time made some changes. Russia has by far the most insignificant changes but overall yeah. Greetings from Bulgaria :)
