These groups include, Spocks Beard, Izz, Dream Theater, Salem Hill, Magma, Marrilion, Liquid Tension Experiment, Cairo, Magellan and there is a Yes Tribute album called Tales From Yesterday, highly kinda too.
Hey, yer not bound to the crappy music of yer later generation. You are free to love Yes music and many other groups from the 70's. Check out Camel, Caravan, King Crimson and ELP. When you've heard these groups thouroughly, I'll give about a year. Look me up and I'll tell you some more essential prog, that must be heard.
It Sounds like yer into the heavier stuff. You may want to hear some early Genesis. Although Genesis is not the hard rock, but very essential. Foxtrot and Selling England by the pound are both excellent. Also I think you may like some of the metal prog.
Ich könnte mir ewig seine Bilder ansehen, und dazu natürlich Yes oder ASIA hören ... EIner meiner ganz großen Helden. Bin gespannt wie sein offizieller Film wird wenn er endlich rauskommt.
I would like to point out, as has been previously pointed out in an earlier comment, that from 50 seconds into this video there is not one single image by Roger Dean until 4 minutes and 12 seconds in. Both before and after this period there are images that also are not those of Roger Dean. my point being; mainly NOT ROGER DEAN'S ART!
I'm sure I got into some bands because of the Roger Dean cover! One live Badger I bought purely on that basis! I have the book somewhere of Roger's art too. And synonymous with Yes, an equally brilliant set of artistes.
This is great but I would say a large percentage, perhaps everything after the first minute isnt actually my dads, however, if you want to see alot of his work all together beautifully presented, please buy his new collection of art books so I can eat next month.
nice art, but the terrible compression and low res ( 240 p for art? WTF? ) ruins it
PutItAway101 3 months ago
Why is the resolution so horrible? I mean, I hate to sound like a critical bastard, but it looks really shitty. Great artist, terrible looking video.
