sometimes it's easier to fill wing to fuselage gaps in aircraft with stretched sprue then soften it with glue and stuff into place. it's less damaging to surrounding detail and if it still needs putty, much less is required. for decals over surface features try a decal setting solution like Solvaset. it works great!
Scott, Your show always teaches and makes me laugh at the same time. I am really looking forward to the King Tiger build. I am doing the King Tiger by Dragon right know. Thanks.
For small seams with detail close by I like to apply some Mr Surfacer 500 to fill the gap. After about 15 minutes remove the excess putty with a q-tip dipped in some lacquer thinner. Works pretty good for me. Be sure to have some way to get rid of all those stinky fumes.
Hello,Scott. A simple kit like this,is good for practicing modeling skills on. For putty along seams,I use the tip of my #11 xacto knife. Also,I didn't see what type of glue you used for the various part halves, usually using a thicker glue, like in the triangular shaped Modelmaster bottle, will allow enough to ooze out of the joint. When that is dry,it is very easy to sand down to a perfect joint. Good video!

whats wrong with squadron putty white? If someone could tell me that would be cool as i bought some a few months ago.

Use it and you'll see.
Squad is good for filling and bulk shapes, but when it comes to fine gaps and other 'delicate' work, step up.
I went thru dozens of tubes, white and green, over the last 3yrs before I went to Tamiya putty, now I'm sworn to Aves.
