  • i had this 45, and i allways loved the drums in the beginning

  • I used to own two albums by this band and one of the albums had this song. This song is also on the Rhino CD box set Nuggets which I now own!!!! I was 15 in 1967 and actively listening to music back then as well as buying 45 records such as this one. One of my most memorable purchases was "Incense And Peppermints" by the Strawberry Alarmclock.

I'm a new kid who actually remembers dancing to this song yesterday. Classic and still rockin'.

  • NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO, the office<3

  • Listen carefully for the "cue tones" at the very end of the song (2:34). For some reason, they were included on all original copies of this "45", and were never heard in any other pressings, including LP's....

  • @ZombieVengence says the douchefag with a screen name "zombievengeance"

  • @marcsman229 Hey I'm not the one say, "Oh look at me I made the first 'Office' comment on this person's video!" Oh yeah you are also obviously homophobic by your use of the word "fag."

  • @ZombieVengence zombievengeance. enough said, FAG.

  • Holy Shit! I did not know Lucifer was YouTube DJ! Can you play Stairway to Heaven next? lol

  • HOLY SHIT WAS THAT SHREDDER AT THE BEGINING?

  • @teefandclaws LOL!

  • yes it was 1968.

  • written by the Isley Brothers in 1962...

  • Does anyone know the history of the sound at the very end of the song, that sounds like a "nurses alarm" going off? Listen to the two tones that sound, once the song has ended. I think it is only on the 45 RPM record, but could be mistaken.

  • One rockin song!!!!

  • Dr. Claw, is that you?

  • nobunny loves you

look up nobunny - nobunny loves you

  • Great song! thx for posting.

  • Este compacto foi lançado aqui no Brasil pela EMI, através do selo Capitol. (Aliás, a Capitol é a subsidiária norte-americana da EMI.)

  • One tiny reason that I regret having missed the 60's (And I'm 46!)

  • lol i love the voice! love it!

  • I saw them with a couple of friends in a concert at a teen night club in January of 1968. They played this song first, alot of nothing in between and finished with "Nobody But Me". We didn't care because we came to hear that song. I didn't matter to anybody else because they came to hear "Nobody But Me" too. Peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Top 100 in January, 1968 which was their only charted song.

  • This song is included on "Kill Bill - Vol. 1", mainly on the secene which involves the battle between the Bride (Uma Thurman) and the Crazy 88 Gang.

  • rodineisilveira, don't forget The Departed when DiCaprio beat down two mobsters.

  • love it.

  • Love the Hammond organ...these guys are hip. Groovy even.

  • Got to see them live lots of times as a kid. When I was 14, my band opened for them at Idora Park in Youngstown,Ohio. This song made them very famous.

  • NO NO no NO NO!

  • We had alot of fun with this record. We would pass it to all our neighbors and they in turn passed it to there friends, untill it came back around to our house.

  • Well, a month ago simyo Spain did an ad with this song. I love this song so much. simyo is a cell phone company like orange, t-mobile. You know what I mean? II'm not English don't know how to say that.

  • Could you please post the flip side of this tune ("Sueno")? This was a fun li'l band back in the day!

  • I second this request!! Sueno is such a neat song, and I've been looking for it, everywhere!! thanx!!

  • I agree. I discovered the "B" side in 1980 when I was 15. It's one of my favorites.

  • The band has always spelled its name "Human Beingz", but someone at the record plant made a typo error, leaving out the "g".

  • GHa .. This is the song I told my Old Girl friend that it was written about her .. No Body

  • This song was from 1968.

  • was this a big song back in the day ? i'm guessing it was, i'm only 25 thats before my days lol I love the song

  • #8 on the charts was pretty big. It was all over the radio stations and everyone had a copy. I was 17 then and I can remember that you really had to move fast to keep up with the beat if you wanted to dance to this song.

  • wow it was a big song to be number 8, was there a dance for this song ?

  • If there was a name I can't remember it. Once in a while I see my old teenage girlfriend around town, When I do I will ask her.

  • that be grate thanks :) , your lucky your able to talk to your old ex girlfriends , might are immature don't want to chat with me :S

  • I seem to vaguely remember there being one ... but I could be mistaken.

  • This song was so good that we would stop the cart to dance in the street I was 17 then.

  • @ProximaXcentari EU VIRAVA OLADO DO COMPACTO...TINHA MAIS TRABALHO...

  • lol. god i hate that song (boris the spider)

  • what a great song you can heat some one with a baseball ball bat with this song

  • Originally written & recorded by The Isley Brothers in 1962.

  • Correct. I have the Isley's version of NBM as part of the 'BEFORE THEY WERE HITS" series. It's a little different from this version

  • Probably the same version that I have on the Rhino release "The Isley Brothers Story, Volume 1: Rockin' Soul (1959-68.)"

  • God this reminds me of my Northern soul days!

  • give it some ktf

  • Big on the northern soul/mod scene in the UK. fuggin classic. keep taking the pills
