  • Love the choice in papers you used and the very good instructions. Like the previous watchers we wanted to know what scissors you are using. Please let me know.

  • Marion, Thank You!! The best ever grunge flower tutorial on youtube - even better than Tim's ;o) What size are the actual diecut flowers after you've cut them with the die? xx

  • Fantstic video. What type of scissors did you use?

  • Very nice video. Imformative as we all need.

  • I know I've commente before but i just finished viewing about 20 or so vids on this rose. I just got the sizzix die to make them about a week ago. I have to say yours are still the best I've seen thus far. Thanks again for the great vid.

  • great tutorial, these are gorgeous.

  • Just want to say that you don't have to use mogpog (spelling) on the back if you back if you start with with a pad of acrylic paper. The one I have is by Canson and was not very much money and you got 10 sheets. I think I got it at Michael's Crafts. I also used a compass to draw my flower. Loved the instructions on how to do this. Thank you!

  • great tutorial! :) thanks Marion.. fast & super cute!

    with a grin,

    steffogal1

  • What kind of scissors are you using???

  • I just loove these flowers! so pretty! : )

  • Hi Marion,

was wondering how you got the beautiful colors on your rose?

    Great tutorial! Thanks

  • Very good video! I went along and made one with you. I just kept pausing between stages. My first one turned out GREAT!!

Blake is such a sweetheart to amuse himself while you made the video - Bless Him!!

  • love it .. where can i buy the paper

  • I love how simple you made this look. Going to have to try. But I have one question . I loved those precision scissors where did you get those from. Thanks

  • LOVE IT!..I was just about to take a class on these for $25.99..You saved me..Now I can buy more Tim Holtz stuff...Thank you!!

  • Which Sixxix die did you actually use. I am currently seeking one out. Does it just cut one flower out or does it cut 2 in layers???

  • Beautiful!

  • FANTASTIC job and very easy to follow!!!!! Thank you for doing this tutoria!!

  • when you say a #5 layer die....who makes this die....

  • Love your videos. Your flower is gorjuss. Carlene

  • Marion, Thank you for this video. I'm trying it out right now.

    Can't wait.

    Christina

  • These roses/flowers are gourgeous, man now i wish i had that machine to make them! You are so much fun to watch on your videos and I love seeing all of your new stuff! Is there a way I could make these without the machine though? Thanks ;)

  • These are absolutly beautiful!!! Now did you just use cardstock and then put modpodge or is it a thinner paper?? I've been wanting to try this but I dont have any grungepaper. Thanks for showing this :)

  • @toswald986 I used cardstock and then modgepodge. Don't let the paper and modgepodge completely dry before you start working because you need the moisture. As soon as the Modge Podge is dry but the paper is still damp from it start making your flower.

  • Wow, thanks for the fast response. I think any kind that would work in the cuttlebug is fine with me. I was hoping to find something a little cheaper than the die mentioned.

BTW, I love your work and watch your videos frequently for inspiration..sometimes more than once! Thanks for all you do!

  • Is there a die comparable for the cuttlebug?

  • @edsuthoff I'm not sure but I can research that for you. Would quickutz be ok as well or spellbinders?

  • These are so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing all of your creativity with us. I just love watching ALL of your videos. YOU ROCK. And as far as your son I feel right at home :)

  • @2ksmum Ahw thank you!!

  • Could you tell me the die used to make the flowers .... PLEASE!!!! TFS its beautiful!!

  • Wow they are gorgeous!! What did you do to colour the last one? It's beautiful!! Thanks for the tip when using card instead of grunge paper!! :o) TFS x

  • @Wentworthsgal Tattered Glimmer mist is peppermint stick. Thank you!

  • Wow it produced some gorgeous colours!! :o) x

  • Gorgeous rose!! Thank you so much for sharing! :-)

  • Marion, what kind and where did you get those scissors? They are pretty cool. The remind me of the Fiskars scissors that I use all the time.

    *gina*

  • Well they are actually seucher scissors, a good family friend of ours is a Dentist and he gave them to me because I have carpal tunnel real bad and these were much easier to use. They are serated and stainless steel so they cut through anything! What's really crazy though is that they cost about $250 and the real good ones are $400!! I know it's rediculous but you can probably find cheap ones on ebay possibly. I treasure mine and use them all the time!

  • Thanks Marion....and wowie those are expensive! I guess i will stick with Fiskars unless of course I find a nice dentist! bwahahahahahahahahaha

  • Oh beautiful cardstock flower. Just love it. Also, your table is super cool! TFS and have the greatest holiday!! Karen

  • Thank you! My husband will love that you said that because he made all the furniture in my room.

  • Great video! How do you apply them to an album? Thanks

  • Cute thanks!

  • Thank you for letting us know that it can be done with card stock if we don't have the grunge board. Happy Holidays to you and your family! Amy

  • Thanks Amy same to you!!

  • Great job I love it

  • Thank-you so much. i have been struggling with this flower for a few days. I thought Tim wasn't explaining it well enough. Maybe 'cause us "artists" are such visual people we need to see it done. Great that you held the flower up. I have been drawing out mine but now I can actually get a symetrical rose.

  • I know what you mean, I'm very visual as well, sometimes just a little slow lol!

  • I wish I had that die, hmmm, I will find a way to make this! TFS as always great tutorial!

  • Hey girl! Just trace them on your screen!! Pause it where I say to in the video, it should work just fine!

  • As always great video..Love your style.Wishing you and your Family a Merry Christmas & Happy Healthy New Year..:o)

  • Sooooooooooo CRAZY-CUTE!!! you are truely AWESOME....girl...Hay can you add a template better so we can print it out?

    CHOW !!!

  • I would love to do that except my scanner is not installed on my computer yet lol! I'll get my hubby on it though. Thanks I'm glad you like it!! I'll try to find a template for it online.

  • Yay! I'm the first viewer for this video... and first comment... do I win prize?! Hee, hee, just kidding! I always love watching your videos Marion. I just recently found these awesome scrapbooking stuff on youtube and I am hooked! I actually made these TimHoltz flowers using the sizzix Bigz Build-a-Flower #3 with 12 petals... it's not a rose but, it's a flower! I used regular patterned paper and I like your idea of putting modpodge on the paper to make it stiff. TFS!!! -lorinda

  • Oh cool!! I will have to try it with that die thanks for sharing that!

  • Hey Marion. What die is this again? Sizzix? Can you post a link? Thanks girlie.

  • Yes it's in the description! Enjoy thanks!

  • Will you be carrying this die in your "new" store? Wink Wink.....and when will the store be up and running? Wink. =-D

  • I have no idea what you are talking about!! HA ha ha just kidding! Wow word gets around!! lol Unfortunately I don't think I will be carrying this die, the only dies I'll be carrying are the ones from my new line coming out wink! he he

  • WTG Marion -- these look better, are cheaper to make and your instructions are super clear. they look easier to make as well!!!!
