You may like to note that the IRA are responsible for almost twice as many murders as any Loyalist group. Most of the people killed by the IRA were Civilians (about 72%). Of the soldiers and policemen killed, most were Northern Irish and off duty at the time.
RIP the innocent unarmed civilians who died at the hands of their own government's soldiers. This act of calculated brutality was a significant catalyst for the rapid increase in IRA membership. Whitehall has the blood of thousands of Irish people on its hands.
