Does anyone know if this intake deletes the mass air flow meter ?? If so is that bad ?

@aquateen123 no, it doesn't. no intake system would do that. if the MAF is deleted the ecu would never know how much air is going into the engine and the ecu would have a hard time getting the air/fuel mixtures right

Wouldn't this mess up the MAF sensor? Maximas especially the 00/01 are known for MAF issues.

Thinking about getting this intake for my 2000 Max. Do you have to remove the huge white intake resonator located underneath the battery? From what I understand that's where the filter will go...

I have a 00 SE 5-speed, and it's 0-60 is around 6.5ish, the auto's are in the high 7's. Mine is bone stock and just turned 147K miles and runs great! Picked it up for 1G, it was a trade-in at the dealership I work at. All I had to do was replace a hose for the clutch line cause it was leaking, and new E3 spark plugs, and been driving it every day for about 4 months now. Best used car I've ever bought!

how many mile do you have on it? and did u ever had major problems with the motor and tranny? reason im asking is because im thinking bout buying a 00 maxima se 5spd, so i wonder u know, i heard that the 3.0L 5th gen maximas have a lot of motor problems as well as tranny. The engine rev sounds real nice.

@DursunNY I just bought a 2000 GLE and i had it for a week and no problems! I got it with 107,090 miles. It's clean inside and out! I paid 5700 for it! So go and buy on but try to get the SE model because they make all the good shit for it!! LOL

@bigboibkyln yea the maxima im talking about is a SE edition and it has the full package leather, 17's and all that shit. But it has 140000miles im little afraid to buy cuz i think that it would give me a lot of problems, its cheap though its 3500

@DursunNY Hey dude i just bought a 2001 maxima se with a 5 speed man its awesome i bought it yesterday for 6grand with 53,000miles on it, previous owner bought it for his son and he didnt know how to drive stick. Its perfect. 0-60 is like 6.5sec.

Nope, I'm not mad. My '02 Max does 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds too, but it's an auto. I just want to see a vid, because 6.5 seconds is pretty quick for a VQ30 Maxima with just an intake and exhaust. Unless you have a 3 inch exhaust. That makes serious power.

@Xbox360Player350 no its has tunning and that adds horsepower too put i know i cant beat a VQ35DE with my VQ30DE. Intake exhaust tunning but times are much quicker now cause more mods.
