  • he told one dove joke and it was genuinely funny when wolf from gladiators was on the show.... there was once a suicidal dove that was eaten by wolf (points at wolf) and on its tombstone it said "i'm glad he ate us". they all kept their faces straight but i don't know how.

  • 0:41 do you think thats his real laugh?

  • I can really feel sympathy for Vic here, telling a joke nobody laughs at is so damn painful.

  • The Dove running gag was alright, I suppose it was meant to satirize wacky, zany comedians whom for all their aforementioned wackiness and zaniness, aren't actually that funny when it comes to telling a joke.

  • I love this bit.

  • Pure class.

    Poor Vic. =D

  • i love it

  • BRILLIANT!!!!

  • did they ever do one were a dog walked on to the middle of the screen and lay down, pretending to die? im sure i remember this. anyone else see it?

also remember one with a coffin involved.

this part of the show was hilarious.

  • I love this, because they rip on the panel so much, but it also shows they can rip on themselves equally... the whole show was one big mickey take. Excellent.

  • I love the fact you can hear George Dawes laughing but never see him!!!

  • Brilliant timing from Bob.

  • The Beeb really should make an effort to get a DVD boxset together.

  • i love cannon and ball... i saw them in this clip, if anyone wondered. lol

  • Has anyone got the clip of Vic going insane and walking off set after one the flat gags, I LOVED that one

  • oh yeah thats when someone steals his joke and gets a laugh from it, right? :3

  • Yeah i think Lamar or Bob says something and the crowd laugh and Vic storms of tearing up the set while Bob tries to calm him down... I was in tears of laughter

  • I love the flat gags, do you have anymore??? There was one where the grim reaper walks past

  • Richard E Grant looks like he doesn't understand what he's meant to be doing at first. Sitting there grinning.

  • haah

  • euranoo.....oofafoo

  • bob got it spot on

  • This is really special!

  • good vid, the first time they did it was funny as hell, and a couple of the other ones were good too, with death showing up etc... but to be honest it is the only part of shooting stars i wish they didn't do so much, got very old.

  • I quite agree with that. I was surprised they carried on with it so much.

  • @HeeleyPI the dog dying was gd too

  • this show was something else

  • Was this the first time that they did it?

  • Yes it was, and easily the best.

  • It's fantastic because everyone breaks down at the end, apart from Vic who looks really hurt by it, lol. Favourite comedy, this.

  • If would have been better if everyone didn't break down lauging during the gag - but admittedly it was hard to resist!

  • Wow, jackindale, thanks for that helpful explanation! And thanks for explaining what a pun is too.

P.S "too" is another word for "also" or "as well".

  • Rather unpleasent comment to make. Sorry for the sarcasm.

  • Brilliant!

  • wow that was so cool

  • That's a fair old lump of tumbleweed!
