These sons of bitches completely SURROUND my house in the summer. Literally to the point where we can't even walk outside a night. Recently, I've seen them in the dark corners of closets after the first snow came. I haven't seen one in a few weeks but I'm still having trouble being completely comfortable in my house O.o
put a little dog food on a strip of duct tape and lay it near where they r most found and go back to it the next day. There should be a bunch of them stuck to the duct tape for you to squish to death teehee
i Have these in my house. The worse thing about them is they stick onto walls! I hate them!! they jump so far and they continue to jump. You never know which way they're going to go. I live in Maryland. The extermonator said they come in for warmth during mating season. YUCK!
they are fun to keep as pets! just feed them fruits or dog food, and soak a cotton ball, and leave them a rock of some tree bark for shelter. mine have ived for over three months now!
They are highly trained. You can't strike them. And they are immune to bug spray. And they are heavily armored. Ladies and Gentlemen, the future of Insectopia.
I think theyre soo adorable! I love to hold them ;) theyre soo different and I live in VA we have a few of them, and this year was the first time i ever saw one haha
@xophotoloverjs First time you ever saw one?? Lol I live in maryland and my house is infested with them!! There's actually dead ones inside the heating vents of my bedroom that have been in there for god only knows how long.
no you can't. it will go berserk and jump right onto your face and start scratching your face...and it's an insect that has the most basterias on its shell!!!!!!!!! it eats ants, roaches, its own species, and hamster... yet, it can KILL a hamster. fucking nasty!
I find them very interesting, such a unique looking cricket. So cool, I don't think they are scary at all. Insects are like organic robots, I always even as a kid pick them up. I like how you can pick up a grasshopper, and when they see you. He'll lean side to side, it's almost like he's trying to figure you out. Camel crickets just another marvelous creature.
these thing are so scary!!! i woke up one morning and wanted to check my youtube acc and i was a little thirsty so i went in the kitchen and looked to my right and it was there! i was s0oo scared i jumped 3 feet back my dad came in to see the problem and it was gone! i can not get rid of these things!!!
Thanks for sharing! I bet as you jumped back 3 feet it was laughing :D As I went to reply to your comment the video started and I had to stop it immediatly! I can't even watch my own vid:D
Very creepy indeed:D I'm glad I moved back to the east coast....it appears I'm safe from them over here..
When I stayed with my Grandmother in Tennessee, I would sometimes see these in the basement (the house was on a hill, and one half of the basement was underground and the other half was sorta ground level) I never really liked them because of their transparency, but otherwise they were fun to watch.
SOO CUTE. They jump at people when they want to make friends. They befriend nice people. One would always visit me. They are soft and cute. People who are afraid are generally jealous of their perfection. =(
Man I hate these creatures with a passion, they look half spider half alien, uhhh creepy! Theres gotta be a way to keep them from entering peoples houses. I wish that they were extinct
Haha your description is hilarious! I hated these, we have tons here, one landed on my face when I was asleep at like 4 am but I was so tired I didn't know what it was I grabbed it and squished it in my fingers and it was so gross! I was so tired I just fell back asleep. About 4-5 days ago I caught a GIANT one like 2-3 inches! I kept it as a pet with someone pill bugs and a centipede. It's not that scary it's always hiding.
I had these in my house for a while ! They are so scary ! Then when we got the exterminator he said they may come out of the walls and die on the floor...I woke up to one on my arm...I still have trouble sleeping.
believe me you arent the only one...i was working on a house in the hamptons in ny and they had an outside cellar door when i opened it there must have been about 500 of these things in the cellar...worst thing ive ever seen..they like areas like that..
@midhue Every spring i have these things in my basement. So far, since early April, we have found over 150. I just killed 31 of them last night. I think they are reproducing in my basement. They are so creepy looking so its hard to kill them. They also have hops
Don't you just hate those things?! When i was sleeping in my bed one night about seven months or so ago, I heard that sound of paper being plucked on the right side of my bed. I thought it was my cat, so I didn't really pay it any mind
. Then the worst happened. I felt something crawling on my neck, so I grabbed it and threw it. I reached up to turn the lights on, and there it was. A cave cricket right at the end of my bed. That was probably the worst thing that's ever happened to me in my entire life! BTW, Great footage midhue!

@ebolaoutkast Haha, they jump as their means of defense. They don't see well, so they hop at you to try to scare you. And it generally works!
