  • This song brings back memories, tripping balls, at the 2/12/88 show at The Omni in Atlanta. Chris Squire tromping around the stage, bass in hand, dwarfing the rest of the band members.

  • I love Yes! I love this song! I could play it over and over! I can't stand the video! Please, someone make a new video that really fits " The Rhythm of Love"

  • How many of you would Love to have these two guy's in the band now???

  • Y

    E

    S

  • You idiots need to pull your heads out of your asses! Go listen to some Ritual or South Side of the Sky...

  • @TheBPSEnsemble I've been a Yes Fan since 1969. It's all good!!! I think that Close to the Edge is the best song ever.

  • @FatticusStout I believe it was composed by their keyboardist Tony Kaye, as in the inner sleeve he gets first billing in the song-writing credits.

  • great song !!

  • this whole Album kicked ass and one of the best 90125 and alon with that the best ERA for music the awsome 80's god do miss that Era

  • :o)~

  • プログレ万歳

  • @aleczko I must agree that in the 80's Yes was more commercial than the the 70's. Most of that was of bringing in T.R. and his influence was very present. But Yes has never been average and most Yes fans will agree with that!

    Cheers!

  • no one have a voice like him,

one of the best group at 80s,

    5*****

  • Mark Glenn brought me here. Ironic?

  • A pretty good pop song that came out at a good time, following a first decent single [Love Will Find A Way], but it didn't click in 87. One reason, if anyone was near a tv, was this godawful video. As a Yes fan, I thought this was a horror, and my opinion over 20 years hasn't improved. An A-number-one choice if you like watching videos with your eyes closed.

  • Squire´s bass is specially groovie in this album

  • Damn good drum sound ! cant get any of my drum patches to sound like that !

  • as we have seen with both yes, Asia, and genesis, when progressive rock musicians create pop music, they can make gooooood pop music.

  • @baggagelizard You forgot Rush

  • good song !!

  • Anderson said in a recent interview that they gave him the boot to get someone that sounded like him and 30 years old

  • al fin consegui este video, 22 años buscandolo, me recuerda mi juventud.........

  • Best opening Act in the history of concerts...The Big Generator tour supporting act for Yes at the Providence Civic Center was the 1936 Cartoon Short of Popeye the Saior Meets Sinbad the Sailor!!!!!p layed on a big screen

  • @rjmdrum I was there it was a great show!

  • Classic!

  • Jon's vocals give me chills, especially during the lyrics "Anyway will do, anyone will do..." Terrific song.

  • great song of the 80's !!

  • man this brings back memories, bought this back in 87 on cassette, just found it on vinyl for 99 cents and it was in mint condition, what a bargain!

  • Just like the beach boys but with more PUNCH!

  • @drumminginchicago9 that's a great way to think about it!!!!

  • one word can bring you round

    and the world is love

  • @SuperMegaUberGenius Only the GREAT JA writes lyrics like that...it's what separates him from all other rock lyricist...not just his unique vocal sound...there is only one JON ANDERSON...the greatest vocalist of OUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song, awesome album! every song better than the last!

Everyone had this album back in the day and it was all over the radio.

Also saw this tour in ATL.,GA. back around 84' and they played this album spot on live, it was really good. Some of the most talented people ever in one band.

  • @mydrumasnare Generally This album was better (as whole) than 90125, but in comparison for former albums from 70ths it is commercial and average

  • @aleczko Totally disagree. 90125, commercial or not, was a much better album. Just my opinion. The public thought so as well.

  • @mydrumasnare This song is off of Big Generator, released in 1987. I think you may be thinking of 90125. Anyhow, they were both great albums and you are correct, everyone had the albums!!

  • @mydrumasnare YES! This album and 90125 made me an even bigger Yes fan than I was before that. What's not to like, especially the drumming!!

  • @garbobbage Big Generator was only a "Fair" LP compared to 90125 IMOP.

I like almost every tune off 90125 but only a couple off of BIG.......sales of BIG were way off from 90125 also.

  • @455Transam Big Generator Was a very FAIR CD thank you very much...90125 was promoted alot more...Great Cd as well

  • WOW

  • excelente rock progresivo!!

  • it's all about Trevor Rabin

  • @TheArizonaMark Indubitably! :D

  • Dam good stuff!

  • Who says dad's don't have great taste in music, YES Dad YES!!

  • Terrorist? See 2:35 for details...

  • YES!!

  • CRANK IT!

  • ジョン・アンダーソンの透き通るヴォーカルが健在を示した、これもYESの強力ロックンロール"リズム・オブ・ラヴ"~トレヴァーー・ラビンの貢献!

  • @blackandtanful my thoughts exactly

  • Love that initial Beach Boys homage. Yes are masters.

  • im seeing them live july the fourth! them and styx!!!!! front row seats and backstage passes WHADDUP.

  • Oh wow wot a song and video....were talking a time in Yes history that was awesome!

  • God, what memories this brings back.

  • This is one of my favorite snare drum sounds - huge and aggressive! And perfect for this song. The vocals, other instruments, and video are pretty good, too(!).

  • 3 motherf****** :D

  • Excelent band. Hope to one day be as good as alan white on drums. Seems like the guy who made tools music videos stole his idea from this Yes video.

  • Another band with the same song title, 'the Rhythm of Love', the Scorpions, another band that has been around for over 30 years creating fantasic music! great stuff from two very distinct sounding bad ass bands!!!

  • The opening chorus is utterly sublime.... Thank you TREVOR!

  • @FatticusStout Did Trevor Horn really produce this? I thought Big Gemerator was someone else??

  • I was referring to Trevor Rabin. If you listen to The Alternate Generator, the opening chorus has instruments and the vocals are different; Trevor also takes the lead on vocals instead of Jon on all parts except the chorus. The differences between that version and this I correctly or mistakenly attribute to Trevor Rabin, who took over production after Trevor Horn departed. So... Thanks to BOTH Trevors! For this particularly sublime manifestation of the song, thank the fabulous Rabin!

  • post anti steam punk movement, eh?

  • Yes was really a band that smoothly transitioned into the 80s sound, but was still Yes.

  • ITS ROBOT CHICKEN @ 1:06

  • YAY !!! real music forever !!! screw all the pretenders !!!

  • This is what original progressive/symphonic sounded like. Its nowhere as deep as the new stuff, but it is good, and totally original. I would invite everyone that likes this style/genre of music to check out my Totally Symphonic Playlist Pt 1. Part 2 is almost ready, and will be added soon. I started a Totally Music/Artist Channel to educate people about music, and to promote bands. There are some great bands of the past. Some great current ones too...if you know. Check it out & enjoy!

  • Oh God... this is real music, lady gaga sucks.

  • Great vocals, I remember when it came out, and I still think the snare sounds like a baloon popping

  • for more than 40 years, YES has re-written the code of music.

  • Sounds like The Police!!! I know almost nothing about this band, gotta do some research on them...I know they started as Prog-Rock in the 1970´s[or the end of the 60´s,i really can´t say for sure...]

  • I don't know who this girl Wendy Griffin is,but this video is probably the reason, well, one of the reasons she was put on this earth. She pulled it off perfectly!Sometimes, things are just meant to be.You see it when it happens!

  • This song rocked in 1987,and it rocks now!Forgot how good this song sounded!Love the video too.I only saw it,maybe once, when it first came out.

  • 1.Innocence no answer To your breaking heart If the situation Sometimes falls apart Then in this ecstasy Your charms are frozen No emotion falling through your arms Bridge: Morning, daydream, time still growing shorter Take me over lead me to the water Chorus: To the rhythm of love To The rhythm of love The rhythm of love
  • 2.Why should I escort you To your secret needs Climbing up your ladder I keep falling down Anyway will do Anyone will do When you dance to your darkest tune Surrounded (Surrounded) As you crawl around the room Bridge: Night time fever burning till you're higher Take me over lead me through the fire Chorus: The rhythm of love To the rhythm of love The rhythm of love To the rhythm of love Morning daydream midnight fever Morning daydream midnight fever
  • Musical Interlude...... Break: Inhibitions keep you from your point of view Information needing to confuse In this situation I have found you In the rhythm of....... Lead Interlude.... End. Morning daydream midnight fever Morning daydream midnight fever Rhythm of love Rhythm of love To the rhythm of love Rhythm of love
  • Ah yes, makes me fondly look back on the 80's. Love 80's music.

  • YES

  • yes is prob one of the grweatst prog bands ever

  • Lotsa great times when this current on the airwaves!! Today we should be so lucky!

  • YES!

  • I like the 80's !!!

  • yeah!!!!

  • It is such a shame that kids from this generation are missing out on this great music.

  • @philaman1972 I can still remember them from a 1978 concert in Nashville, Tn. No, these "kiddo's" sure as hell don't what quality of music they are missing. YES affords kudos from all generations today!

  • Love them so much. Video gives me a headache it's so random LOL. Very Jon Anderson-ish :)

  • would have been nice to cut the video to watch trevors solo.....

  • Really Love this song!!! Everytime i go back and listen and watch Wendy Griffin the model in this I love it more..I just found this girl on my space shes still rocking it

  • "Climbing up your ladder, I keep falling down." priceless

  • the whole sad about the music from the 80's it can not even be replaced what so every.

  • Hello to everyone who remembers when music kicked ass. Lead me to the fire.. :-)

  • WONDERFULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @handymandan100 The 80's were all about visual art like this. Not to forget real music. Then fraud took over and we got meaningless products on air. The trouble the music business has suffered from ever since.

  • great song !!!

  • Talent. Talent. Talent. What more can be said. Did I mention talent?

  • Great times for Rock music and a great song. Thanks for bring it to the present!

  • Im 16 and i remember when my father used to listen this song when i was a child, i cant believe that i have lost that times of good music because the music generation of nowadays is crap like justin bieber and lady gaga. I like this song and my son will listen it too as do my father. Thanks Dad!

  • Real musicians...real instruments...real meaningful well thought out lyric...what a concept.

  • @softhotty

A concept foreign to these so-called "musicians" today!

  • @softhotty

    I know!! Who'ed of thought?

  • Después de 'Owner Of a Lonely Heart',esta canción es una de las mejores del grupo.GRANDE YES!!!

  • one of the last vinyl albums i ever bought great song. good record

  • BUENÍSIMO!!! UNO DE LOS MEJORES CDS DE YES!!!!!!!!!

  • Pretty "Artsy" for the 80's!

  • @handymandan100 Beats anything Nickelback, Bieber, or Lady (?) GaGa could put out, though, aye?

  • @greyjohnstone Every time it beats the output of all of the above!~!~

  • Great song, ear candy is right.

  • amazing

  • Yes is ear candy.

  • I don't really consider this Yes. I consider it Cinema with Jon Anderson on vocals. Not that this is bad but I think Yes is all albums from The Yes Album to Tormato. Cinema is still good though.

  • 1987, i was twenty ... *sigh* ... awesome guitar job by tr here btw!

  • Even in the 80's, YES could be trippy.Although this sort of looks like a Whitesnake video

  • This totally Rocks!! Found out about this video when I stumbled on the actress in this Wendy Griffin on my space...she is even more gorgeous now....love the shower scene with the fish bowl here though and can't stop listening to this song...thanks for posting

  • @TheLuvmagnet ----------- LETS Go Jets over indy , Get Psyched !

  • You know...listening to 80's music, i sometimes think to myself "Jesus christ mom couldn't pop me out one year earlier?" I was born in 1990

  • @VegasBikerChick211 great Comment. The 80s was the best decade of all, in so many ways. Music like this made it what it was, plus better opportunities to travel. I spent most of the 80s in the USA, and i couldnt have picked a better place for that era.

  • @VegasBikerChick211 That's hilarious.

  • yes has very intricate music and theyra are underrated

  • I like the 80's !!!

  • Yes is one of the Best bands of all time.. Especially of the rock genre..

  • 素晴らしい!m(__)m

  • God I was 7 when this came out, my dad played this album over and over, fun to listen to it years later.

  • Another great song with AWESOME energy, but a really bizarre video. Good song to get you mov'n in the morning.

  • Great song and video. Love this band!

  • Remember when you turned on your radio and heard good, normal songs? I miss those days!

  • Jon has the best falsetto voice in music .

  • @quarqill

That's not falsetto. He's got an high pitch... but not falsetto ^^

  • @RolandMattia Thanks, there is news that he is well enough to do some touring with the band and record some new stuff.Trevor Rabin who was with Yes is now a movie sountrack composer and his son has his own band.

  • @RolandMattia Yep - John is actually a natural countertenor. His singing (and speaking) voice falls naturally above the tenor range. And you're right - that's not falsetto.

  • Comment removed

  • @quarqill that's very, very arguable, lol.

  • @Hepatomancy I read that Chris Squire is the current original member of the group.Yet why is Jon Anderson,Steve Howe and Trevor Rabin get more attention than him.And shouldn't he be the group's leader?

  • thanks for this!

  • Hit #2 rock, #40 pop in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in the UK? Jon Anderson never should've left, right, gang? God bless!

  • YEEEEEESSSSSS PERÙ IS BEST!!!!! YEAAHHH

  • vocals at the chorus blow up my mind... can't stop listening!

  • @aletondaX Vocals in this song ARE pretty amazing. Intro and pre-chorus especially for me. But Yes is pretty well known for really good lead/harmony vocal arrangements. "Changes" and "Your move/I've Seen All Good People" are great as well.

  • I love solos absolutely, and with all my being. And this is one of my favorites. Early rock tapping! lol :)

  • Good song, but this video suck-diddly-ucks.

  • GREAT SONG

  • Was this on "Union" album? If so, it is still my favorite Yes album. I'm a big fan of BG, and 90125 too. Great to see this hear!!

  • @tennesseeink album is :Big Generator: - the albun right after 90125 - before Union

  • lol....XD

  • great tune great album it should be reissued in remastered form like the back catalogue! a worthy follow up to 90125!

  • Excelente cancion!

Siempre que escucho esta banda le agradezco a mi profesor de musica que me los hizo escuchar. Geniales...Squire me pone la piel de gallina.

  • Big Generator: loved this album.

  • sorry your so bitter...it must that your rock went soft like your head man..lol

  • Awesome Song! Yes!!!

  • And you talk out of your arse.....

  • Why in the world did Jon Anderson ever leave Yes? He was their signature voice! Anyway, it hit only #40 in Billboard. Should've gone higher than that in the US. How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg He left because of Acute Respiratory Failure, I saw them about a month ago, and Benoit David, the replacement, sounded amazing (save for one note on Starship Trooper)

  • Amazing how the intro reminds me of The Beach Boys, until the music actually kicks in.

  • Great song!

  • vtec song !!

  • 1987. Very good song & album, but I think the director of the video was watching Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" too many times.

  • @lashutterbug

Ha, yes there are similarities. Seems most things are plagiarised to some extent.

  • The video is very eighties, but does anybody notice some foreshadowing to the sort of videos Tool would be making come the nineties? The animation was kind of heading in that direction.

  • This song was from the 90s if I remember correctly. 902 whatever it was with 'owner of a lonely heart' was released in 1984. This came sometime after that.

  • @80skiwi. This song was released 1987. The album is titled: Big Generator.

90125 was the other album featuring trevor Rabin as a guitarrist instead of Steve Howe.

Both are good albums in my opinion :)

  • Big Generator was released in 1987? It's amazing how quickly time runs away.

'Rhythym of Love' is the only song I know from this album. Do you know if there were any other singles that made the charts? 90125 had at least two singles that made it onto the American top 40.

  • Yepp. Time flies :)

Well, the track: Love Will Find A Way, also made the top 40 us chart. And number 1 on the mainstream rock charts. However the Shoot High, Aim Low - track is my personal favorite from that album. You should check it out :)

  • and Producer as well...I believe Rabin rocks

  • @flashchrome what about talk that was a rabin project from 94!

  • @MrTonedeff. I haven

t actually listened to that album. i stopped purchasing yes albums right after the Big Generator / 90125. Is it any good?
