have you ever considered making a sculpture like this using the blades of a windmill? It should work in a similar way and on a large scale would look fantastic!
One of the most awe inspiring things I have ever seen. I love his work. I first saw it in a museum store at Carousel Mall in Syracuse when I was 20. I will own one someday. Hopefully one like this. AMAZING. It's funny my brother clues millions of toothpicks together, to build amazing sculptures (see toothpick city. com)
Also, at the :39 mark, check out how the spokes of the star in the center are "drawn out". That's so cool. I'm sure that was intentional, it happens again right afterward, but in a different way. Good stuff, man.
How is it posible that it will turn, the upper part isn't touching the part there under?...
