We are high performance engine builders and have been in business doing nothing but engines since 1968. We have a DTS 2500 water brake dyno. It's properly calibrated and is not "corrected". Please follow the link in the pop up bubble for the burn out footage. As far as researching our claims, we let the dyno print out speak for itself. We appreciate everyone who watches the videos.

I have a 540 Dart, It's got a blower, Twin carbs, big valve aluminum heads, It's only pushing 640HP, I have no doubt that it will smoke this motor. Sorry, You Dyno this it's gonna be under 500HP.
@seenalotabs Under 500? We just put out a pump gas 383 that made 501HP with a mild cam and Dart heads. I have another video posted of blown 540 we built that did 950HP on pump gas (compared to the 640HP you say yours made). The 1000HP claim for this motor is based on pump gas and 5lbs of boost. It can handle race gas and 15lbs. 1000HP is conservative.

@dwnrety1 The car broke the tires loose and was almost completely sideways at 130 on an unnamed nearby interstate while tuning the digit boost controller. Nothing against Supras -we have a turbo Supra motor in stock, but it's apples and oranges. The Chevelle has 3 times the displacement. This car has more power than can ever be effectively put to the rear wheels. It was built as a show piece for our business as an example of something that's very powerful yet streetable BorowskiRace(dot)com.
@borowskirace Oh ok was hoping for a response on this. I've been building turbo cars for about 6 years now and with a little over 800 hp smallblock turbo car with slicks and drag suspension at about 60mph it would laydown 100 ft black marks on the highway or would lift one front tire for about a second. Show us a video of you thrown down. I've played with 1000+hp cars and you can't even get close to full throttle without going up in smoke. Just busting your balls. Great looking car though.
Consider that any Supra making about 900 horses will only have not much over 700 ft lbs, whereas this would be quite a torquey enine.
But any 2JZ putting out those kind of numbers is gaurenteed to have a fair bit of lag, so once that boost comes on, of course it'll lay tracks. Whereas you can see and hear this thing has perfect response.
@dwnrety1 well thats fine just let the supra spin and that chevelle will hook and leave the toyota in the dust! you ever think that maybe this car has had alot of suspension work done to keep it from spinning?
@dwnrety1 supra suspension is designed for cornering which they do very well, but the IRS on a supra isnt so good for traction in a straight line, plus i dont know which supra your talking about that lights up the tyres at 60mph but most street supras have big wheels with low profile tyres, again no good for traction, most big power supras are also converted to one large turbo instead of twins, so smaller engine big turbo usually means the boost comes in more sudenly, i had a skyline like that

Very conservative cam for such a large CID. What's the redline for the block? Why not a solid lifter valvetrain setup with 260~ duration? Make those turbos spit power into the 1500 range.

u will not be wasting alot of gas if u step on the pedal gently, people say gas mileage came from the car but to tell u the truth, gas mileage came from how u drive your car, step on it hard = gas gone, step on it too light = ur car wont go quick enough and people start beeping at u, step on it just enough and gently and u will get the MPG u need with out having to worry about losing that power or wasting gas

hell yeah a V8 done right.....I dont know why people S/C these engines, they already have more then enough low end power there TQ monsters.....all you need is couple of turbo to give it that high end HP.....then you have an explosive power band from top to bottem

No. As much as I would love to agree, It's like 200HP stock, And even if you have a TT setup in it it might have 400hp, And most well built camaro's have 600+HP, That will eat up your evo. It's so much cheaper to work on these than a tuner.
No idea, but I heard a rumor that it went sideways at 130 when 'the driver' stomped on the gas while testing the new turbos. It's also a rumor that the passenger's life flashed before his eyes, laptop gripped tightly (F.A.S.T XFI Electronic Fuel Injection with Wireless Tuning and Reporting & Tail Innovative Digital Boost Controller Blow Off Valves), just before the driver expertly straightened it out.
who cares about the mpg? i dont care if its a gallons per mile car, its an amazing piece of american auto motive history and also one of my more favorate muscle cars. ask for the mpg when it blows past your rice burner on the drag strip.

Thanks for the comment. The street tires are the only thing keeping the car from tying itself in a knot. I'm not sure we'll ever know the true top speed. You're right - even on the salt flats - we may be able to open it up, but it's never stay grounded.
there's a big difference between that car's stock output and what it puts out now...would you know that car has 1000 hp just by looking at it or pulling up to it at a stop light?

Amanda, My name is Ken and I shot the video. We have two issues. The first is that we don't have a convertible to shoot from fast enough to keep up and at 1000hp there is no hope of keeping the car straight under full throttle. Even at half throttle, the car is much faster then almost anything on the road. Remember, it's fully street legal with street tires. It's a full time job keeping the tires from turning into puddles of goo. Thanks for your comment.

u will not be wasting alot of gas if u step on the pedal gently, people say gas mileage came from the car but to tell u the truth, gas mileage came from how u drive your car, step on it hard = gas gone, step on it too light = ur car wont go quick enough and people start beeping at u, step on it just enough and gently and u will get the MPG u need with out having to worry about losing that power or wasting gas

No. As much as I would love to agree, It's like 200HP stock, And even if you have a TT setup in it it might have 400hp, And most well built camaro's have 600+HP, That will eat up your evo. It's so much cheaper to work on these than a tuner.

No idea, but I heard a rumor that it went sideways at 130 when 'the driver' stomped on the gas while testing the new turbos. It's also a rumor that the passenger's life flashed before his eyes, laptop gripped tightly (F.A.S.T XFI Electronic Fuel Injection with Wireless Tuning and Reporting & Tail Innovative Digital Boost Controller Blow Off Valves), just before the driver expertly straightened it out.

Thank you for watching and commenting. We've gotten a lot of feedback asking why we didn't tear up the car and prove it's full capability. As a note, the car was never over 1/2 throttle in the video. Basically, we don't have the benefit of anonymity. We're a 40 year old business and the Chevelle has been to every car show in the region. It won 2nd at World of Wheels in Chicago last month. The other problem is we can't keep up with it to film it. Thanks again for watching.

Thanks for the comment. The street tires are the only thing keeping the car from tying itself in a knot. I'm not sure we'll ever know the true top speed. You're right - even on the salt flats - we may be able to open it up, but it's never stay grounded.

Amanda, My name is Ken and I shot the video. We have two issues. The first is that we don't have a convertible to shoot from fast enough to keep up and at 1000hp there is no hope of keeping the car straight under full throttle. Even at half throttle, the car is much faster then almost anything on the road. Remember, it's fully street legal with street tires. It's a full time job keeping the tires from turning into puddles of goo. Thanks for your comment.
