beautiful.....got one meself......but, but, don't you use the top secret thick tone trick?? that's the BEST of the endless reasons to play this model!!
Any idea how loud the volume was when you went into overdrive? I have one too and love it but when volume is 9 o' clock or over the sound cuts out sometimes. Even at 6 o' clock it still rarely cuts out a bit. Anything lower and it's fine though.
@Taygoo15 The triangle shape behind the grillcloth on some 1482 amps is just the cutout in the speaker baffle. The speaker is a round 12" driver. Hope that helps.
hi @OttarBerg, it's a S-Telly neck pickup and either a 0038 Broadcaster bridge or his Tweed Monster (I honestly can't remember at this point). Both great bridge pickups but the 0038 has a thicker midrange, while the TM is more traditional sounding with fuller frequency response. Hope that helps!
The cabinet is not solid wood, more of a pressed fiberboard type of material... so you wouldn't want to sit on it. But it's lasted this long. It's not as loud as a tweed deluxe though, so it depends how much volume you need.
Nice classic tone range from one amp.

Hi do find that this amp is overly warm sounding even with the tone rolled out all the way to the right? Thanks

@skilback What did you have the tone set on this video
Taygoo15 1 year ago
@Taygoo15 If I remember correctly, the tone on the amp was set to maximum.

@skilback Do you think a new speaker would brighten this puppy up.

@Taygoo15 No, it's the original Fischer AlNiCo speaker.

Is this amp durable enough to take to gigs? Or is it more of a studio amp? Great sound!

This was one of my first amps and I still love it! How did you date yours?
garbeaj 2 years ago
These can be dated by using the speaker or pot codes. If it has the original Silvertone tubes, these have date on them too.
GREAT AMPS!! & wonderful playing.
