Questa verzione in italiano a perso molto dell'emozione!
Sylvie Vartan became my idol at the age of 7 shortly after I moved to Paris after I fled from Bulgaria (Sylvie's homeland) to escape from the terror of communism. The very first time I heard La Maritza, it became my favorite song (for eternity). It's the song of my destiny. On September 29, 2006, I saw Sylvie sing La Maritza (in French) at the Hôtel de Paris in Monte-Carlo and was sitting just a few feet away from her. It was an absolutely amazing performance and the best day of my entire life!
GRAZIE LO TROVATA.

I agree! Sylvie Vartan also sang La Maritza in French, German, Japanese and possibly some other languages, too.

There is a Turkish version also named "Ay doğarken" sang by Ajda Pekkan..
By the way, this song reminds me Mina's "La canzone di Marinella" and I love them both..
