Man, after years away from any sort of new music scene, I read today that Lynette passed away nearly 3 years ago. Breaks my heart. This band nearly single-handily kept me out of jail by providing a great way to spend my weekend nights. Before SP, it was driving like an idiot all of the East Bay. I was lucky that before any tragedy took me away, a few cute girls talked me into seeing them live at the Omni in Oakland -- hooked on live brass thereafter. Thank you SP and RIP Lynette.
