@Rumeel12708 When dad shifts he general just whacks the clutch really quick. I know if it's adjusted correctly you shouldn't have to put the pedal all the way to the floor to properly disengage the clutch - I didn't have to in my car.

Yeah my uncle won a 20 anniversary convertible... 5.0 5 speed back in the summer of 84...off this show called Friday Nigh Video's...He still has it...He's had to rebuild his tranny twice....That Anny pulls...good shifting as well...If many of these so called racers could drive like that...Mustangs wouldn't be loosing to alot of these ricers in the quarter.

I got an '82 GLX about 2 months ago and it needed a new crank and bearings. After I got it back together, the 7.5 rear end blew up almost instantly. It's got a brand new 8.8" with 3.27s. I have the 4 speed SROD trans and 3.27 gears and it sqeels into second shifting normally the same as your dad's does with a 5 speed and 4.10s powershifting. And yes powershifting is the #1 cause of T5 failure. You can still shift fast w/o powershifting.

Yea, because the world class t5's are only rated at 300 ft. lbs., this one isn't even a world class t5, and we don't really care about breaking things unless it's daily driven. This T-5 is on its 3rd rebuild. ^_^

Yeah, he's gotten good at not over shifting. This T5 is on its third rebuild. 2nd gear hated him; He used to play with a couple 71 Cutlass's, one of them had a 350 with the Muncie M22 "Rock Crusher" and he said he never had an issue beating the hell out of that transmission.

Oh yeah T5's are junk we all know that, lol...I'm on my 3rd stang now but the 1 I just sold to this kid a few months ago told me the T5 blew on him...And I had put that in the car and it only had 40k on it lol. They don't take well to abuse haha.
