  • best video on youtube...

  • @abcpromicom LOL nice....

  • man i got stoned before the show blues

  • A form of this song is included on the Heat's fine album "Future Blues," where Harvey Mandell plays the most blistering guitar solo ever. (Far better than any Jeff Beck.) That's definitely Larry Taylor on bass, but who is playing lead? Henry Vestine was absent from the group at about that time due to heroin addiction, so is it Harvey "The Snake" Mandell?

  • @ybravura That's Tony de la Barreda on bass and that is Henry on guitar. Henry returned after Larry and Harvey split to join John Mayall.

  • I'm sorry... I looked at the video one more time, and it looks like i saw him. Check at 3:47

  • @dobrotnik Oh yeah! You mean Alan?

  • @dobrotnik 5:33 I see the same character again.

  • where the fuck was this recorded? It seems like Alan Wilson isn't playing anymore... or is he?

  • @dobrotnik they are playing at the Stamping Ground Festival in The Netherlands in 1970

Alan Wilson don't play with them anymore as he passed away some week after this on September 3, 1970!!!!

  • @gliedo He died After this or Before?

  • @spikew10 "after", the festival was on 28th June 1970 and he passed away on 3rd September 1970

  • @dobrotnik He actually is in this video. But he was shy. So he hid behind his amps.

  • @dobrotnik alan is next to the bass player here. he's standing in the back line pretty much. he's got striped shirt on.

  • I love this band more and more with each video I watch. Canned Heat was awesome. Btw, these subtitles make me lol.

  • How lucky he was to meet someone sharing his weed on stage LOL

Greetings from the land of the best natural and magical mother nature!!

  • Bob HiTe,Great vocals,he gave this band there sound.

  • He was good, but Alan was better. Alan had a one of a kind voice whereas Bob is sorta cookie cutterish. He is good though..

  • the bear and the owl rip ....

  • : )

  • come to se the best tribute WOODFEST 14-16 OK

  • i love this song

  • they started to play out after al wilson died.

  • RIP Alan Wilson

  • Such an amazing voice.

  • doesn't get much better than that...miss it a lot.

  • great video, thanks!

  • england!!!!!!!

  • Comical subtitling seems done by speakers for whom English is not their native language.

  • it still rocks this is after alan wilson died i suppose

  • No, he passed away some two month later, the festival was on June 28, 1970 Alan passed away on September 3, 1970

  • The great genius and sensitive nature lover Alan Christie Wilson........We love you buddy.......Play your harmonica in heaven....And may you rest in peace.

  • dog god most everywhere lol

    dio cane!!

  • whoever wrote those subtitles are an idiot

  • Thank you!!

You wrote "are an" LOL well sure you will make a better work! Cheers anyway and keep booging

  • haha nice try amigo

  • Instead of "dog god most everywhere" what's the right transaltion, just curious

  • 'dark clouds most everywhere'

  • poor sound but interesting visuals

  • Not only are the subtitles waaayyyy off, but the bass player has his back to the crowd the majority of the time, whats up with that

  • Oh man, I bust a gut reading those subtitles.

Whoever transcribed the lyrics must have not kept that job for long.

  • Raw riff...love it!

  • amazing...

  • FANTASTIC.....I just recently played with canned heat at the broadbeach blues festival in queensland australia and the boys were hot, I always wanted to hear this song with the flute (im a flute player)the way Al Wilson would have wanted it, straight boogie so they let me play on it... visit my you tube to view, thanks for this great track

  • You played with Canned Heat!!!! That's awesome.

  • yes thanks

search you tube for canned heat going up the country and you will see me about fourth in the list canned heat going up the country with joanna sullivan.. or visit my website

    joannasullivan dot com dot au

  • Isnt that in Kralingen?

  • the subtitles are hilarious! not even close to what he is singing.

  • For some reason I never got around to finding Canned Heat before (other than a couple that everyone knows) but after listening to stuff like this, I think it's been my loss. What would be a couple CDs of theirs to get?

  • I was too young to see these groups in concert, but when I heard the music on radio and later on record, I just loved it. I've got all the Canned Heat albums, and my view is that Canned Heat didn't just play the blues, they LOVED the blues. RIP, Alan and Bob.

  • If you can, get a hold of the album "Future Blues". This song is on it and the entire album is great from start to end. This song is more of a tale of foreboding. Dark clouds most everywhere. If the bombs start falling, there will be no more home on the range.

  • the canned heat groove was good. i bounce like the bear when i hear it.

  • Drummer Fito De La Parra owns the "Canned Heat" name, and still tours . Bassist Larry Taylor plays with Tom Waits,The Kim Wilson Band, many sessions and, sometmes, Canned Heat. He plays mostly on stand-up acoustic bass has improed dramatically. Harvey Mandel plays with "The Chicago Blues Reunion". He plays a unique fusion-blues. Bob Hite,Alan Wilson, original lead guitarist Henry Vestine and Bob's brother Richard, CH's bassist from '74-'78), are deceased.

  • Glad to read that you´re also a Heat fan and know your stuff! I´ve been a Heat fan since ´68 and have most of their albums including the latest such as Friends in the Can and Boogie House Tapes vol. 1&2.First time I saw them was in ´69 and last time was in 2005...

  • "First time I saw them was in ´69"

    cool... date/venue?

  • It was at Falconer Theater, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Btw, It might have been spring 1970, instead of 1969...

  • Me too! But that was 24-9-1968 (got the ticket right here in my hand) Man they played loud, had a wall of speakers. Met Bob The Bear Hite and Larry Taylor by accident the same day shopping downtown, Had a little talk with them and got their autographs. They were very friendly and polite

  • It must have been great to meet Bob and Larry in person and get their autographs!

I wish I had kept my ticket too.

Btw, their new double CD, "The Boogie House Tapes Vol. 3", is great. It´s full of old live recordings from the sixties and seventies, such as Alan´s guitar intro at Woodstock, and a couple of tracks where they play with John Lee Hooker. There´s also a live redition of "On The Road Again", over 13 min. long, with Allan Wilson and Bob chiming in at the end.

  • TURN UP THE VOCAL..the text gets every other word so wrong that it makes no sense.

  • ok, I've uploaded the previous song by them, and ended the clip just as your song is about to begin - enjoy! ;-)

  • hehe... I meant boring comparing to Al's "Human Condition" ...one riff that goes on and on, not much jamming there... btw... on my copy you can see the singer, bassist and their manager all sharing a joint, heh... Holland, remember... legal stuff.

  • 28 june 1970

I have this great film too

for God's sake, upload Human Condition (that they did before this boring one) ; last ever filmed footage of the late great Alan Wilson.
