YESS this movie is perfect! i just absolutely love it!! i've seen it 4 times now. and everytime i watched it. it felt like was watching it for the first time, all the times i've seen movies at empire. that has never happened to me before. it was just amazing that david fincher could create such a great film, andrew garfield was just insanely great!. everyones stories are perfectly played out. i mostly liked Armie Hammer. he was just so... it was like that role was meant for him and only for him

@pkduexmachina The movie is not about the success of facebook, but the effects that the success brings for the people involved and how it changes their life for better or worse. So, it is possible to spoil the movie. Somewhat at least.

@pkduexmachina No, it's about their relationships to one another which presumably most people don't know the outcome of. People just know that Facebook is a success and Mark Zuckerberg is rich. Apart from that people don't know much. And it's interesting to see how it developed.

@theessexbabez This film is way better than Inception. Inception is overrated. Inception was a decent movie. But if you strip it down (taking away all the action sequences, yada yada yada) the core of the movie (the philosophical standpoint of reality vs dreams) aren't really something new. I found it boring for the most. Not really compelling at all. And the plottwists (if they are allowed to be called that), was very much expected in one way or another. Mind-boggling? No.

If u thought inception was good, you have no place reviewing movies. It had multiple plot holes, o.k acting, and they could have done so much more with such a kick ass concept. The plot is incredibly hallow. We know what they are preparing for the entire 2 hours, we knew from watching the trailer. The 2 hour movie does not build on the 2 minute trailer.

only saw this movie because its from David Fincher. it was a great film. i agree Andrew Garfield was the best character in the film, his character Eduardo was the only real likable character, the other two main characters were assholes. I think Oscar wise it should for sure get nominations for Best Picture, Director, Actor for Jesse Eisenberg, and Supporting Actor for Andrew Garfield.

@dystopiainmyhead Facebook helped propel the start of documenting everyone's every move over the internet. Also, the back story as to why facebook was created and the events afterward are really interesting.

I think the fact that this is the "facebook movie" actaully detracts from this film.

Look at this way;

It's legal drama written by the guy who wrote a few good men,

it's directed by the guy who did fight club, seven, etc

It's based on a book, and we all know that movies based on books tend to do okay (Jurassic park, Twilight, Congo, Harry Potter, Charlie Willson's war, etc,)

With a soundtrack by Trent Reznor.

I have been looking forward to this movie for months, so I'm so glad that you enjoyed it :) Thanks for a great spoiler free review. A little suprised you didn't mention the writer Aaron Sorkin though - not a West Wing fan? You should give it a watch if you haven't before :) Anyway, it was the fact that Sorkin was writing it that made me very excited, and generated a lot of the early buzz about the movie. I am a huge fan of Fincher and Garfield too, though, so there's a lot to look forward to :)

Exactly the same for me. I first heard about the facebook movie last year on TWIT. First I was ho-hum, but as soon as they said Aaron Sorkin was writing I was on board. I didn't yet know the actors or directors, but I was already wanting to see this movie.

It's not that it's "untrue" but it's based on the book "The Accidental Billionares" which was written without Zuckerburgs input.

So it's a very one sided view of the events.

I've been waiting like 2 years for this movie.

In terms of why it's funny, it's because it's written by Aaron Sorkin.

Sorkin was once asked if he writes comedies or drama's and he says that because he started as a play write he was a different perspective.

With Plays it's either a musical, or a non-musical, and he writes non-musicals.

He's perhaps best known "A few good men" which he originally wrote as a play, and than later adapted that for the movie.
