  • One thing I really like about this ersion is the marriage of R&R with the Latin beat. Also, very exellent and clear vocals.

  • @davnkatz never noticed before, but now that I take a listen to the percussion..

  • great memories //// thanks for posting , johnny burnette.... brilliant

  • One of the most underated singers in rock & roll....truly honored to known and booked him. Also his broter Dorcey. Rock and Roll Trio LON overdue for R&R ALL OF FAME.

  • @thevoiceoftheBBs I'm very impressed!! Closest I ever was winning an LP of the Rock and Roll Trio in a radio competition...

  • the ppl who dis like this song have no bloody taste in music! like this if u think so 2

  • This Johnny Burnette version is my favorite and he had alot of top notch competition!!!

  • whom= is the 1 dumb shit?

  • this version is better than bobby darin even though his one is nice

  • The use of strings was part of this era but made touring expensive until the string machines arrived. By that time pop sounds had moved on. I think it's time for a revival.

  • @3GreeneBJ Always disappointing to go to an oldies show and hear a keyboard in place of strings, or even backing chorus.

  • @SirBasildeBrush can you please find his song of big big world? it was my favorite of his when i was in my teens

  • @nlb60 Already posted elsewhere on YT - just do a search.

  • @SirBasildeBrush They would've done the same thing back then. It's economical. Sucks, yes, but, for $10 now days, might as well enjoy it for what it's worth.

  • I love this kind of songs....

    easy listening............

    smoooooooooooooooottthhhhh.....

  • 1912 cunard, it happens. My sister is 2 1/2 years older than I am (I'm 60), and she never heard of 442 Glenwood Avenue by the Pixies Three. You gotta love all these songs from the 50's & 60's

  • Oldies such as this song are simply timeless and excellent. Fond memories are flooding back. Many many thanks for posting this song.

  • @vcl1962 Pleased to delight with this one.

  • I love this...first time i have heard it...how come i missed this? Great song...

  • Thank you Mi amor..I'm yours

  • You have got me baby, you don't have to dream alone. I love you Mi amor!!

  • great version!

  • Sounds like Buddy Holly

  • HOLY CRAP THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!

  • Nice, well done.

  • Not sure if this ever issued in the U.K. But it is a suprb rendition of a classic 1950's track by a really great artiste!

  • Johnny did an excellent job on this classic!

  • The strings almost sound as if they are singing "yeah yeah yeah yeah".

  • produced by the legendary Tommy Snuff Garrett

  • @dkfelix The reason you're hearing "yeah yeah yeah" is because there are backup vocals here not just strings.

  • @1959buddyh Perhaps I'm not quite sure.

  • Great---old favorite!

  • I love them all, Bobby Darin's version, this one, and also Dion's; but I gotta say I like Dion's version most.

  • All good one, but Darin's has the edge.

  • I like em all for different reasons --

Bobby D -- original, most comfortable pace to Cha Cha too

Johnny B -- Great string accents that are signature on most of his songs

Dion -- King of Doo Wop. Great backing vocals here too.

  • Nice!

  • I thought Johnny Maestro was the king of doo wop! :-)

  • @BobChark Don't forget John Lennon!:) dirty but still cute!(:

  • @BobChark Tony Orlando did a fabulous version in 1962

  • @BobChark Yea Dion the Best!

  • This version is as good as Kevin Spacey's. I like them both.

  • where r u my dream lover :(

  • Wow! This is better than Bobby's version. What a great sing and song writer! Thank you so much for making this available for us.

  • Glad you're enjoying it so much!

  • you stole my username! lol :-) I'm flattered

  • R.I.P Johnny, your songs will live forever in my heart.

  • ordered the cd as soon as i heard this song. had never heard it before even though i thought i owned every song he had done. wow
