The use of strings was part of this era but made touring expensive until the string machines arrived. By that time pop sounds had moved on. I think it's time for a revival.

I love them all, Bobby Darin's version, this one, and also Dion's; but I gotta say I like Dion's version most.

Johnny B -- Great string accents that are signature on most of his songs

Dion -- King of Doo Wop. Great backing vocals here too.
