This is an awful interview (on the part of the person conducting the interview). He is completely unresponsive and asking such boring questions. He's probably never seen more than a few episodes. Jennifer is obviously annoyed by this guys vague and unresearched questions. This must have been such a painful interview for both of them, but they handled it so well. They make the interview interesting because of their friendship and how comfortable they are with eachother.

I'm French, and I absolutely love Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, and of course Dawn French. These two French journalists obviously don't get their jokes. I'm not sure they even get their answers, since they ask questions that are not especially linked one with another. As if they had written their questions and no matter what the answers are, they'll keep their thing up. Which is lame, granted. But oh, well, it's obviously not a very professionnal document. Still nice to see them :-)

It really seems to me like he doesn't understand much of what they're saying, not that he didn't think the jokes were funny.

I can barely understand his English, it's quite broken; I found it a lot easier to read the French subtitles when he was asking his questions.

But still, the question does remain: why do an interview with people you can't communicate properly with?
