I met Cranes in a record store called REM in Dallas TX. I barely got there before they had to leave, and the store was empty save for the staff and the group.
I got them to sign a picture and a poster, but I limited myself to only one question, "I really like your music, but how do y'all describe it yourselves?" One of the guys, the one in shorts in this video, replied instantly, "Anything but Gothic."
I thought it was kinda cool she was having some facial acne problems that day.
Please don´t call them "the cranes" they are Cranes only hahaha please!! Nice video by the way!! thanx for post it!! This is the best band in the world!!!
I was there, among first lines, waiting for the upcoming performance by The Cure, and I listened for the first time to Cranes and I run to buy their CD few days later :)
exacly the same happened to me when they went to Treviso (Italy) in 1992 during the cure's tour. My friends and me were 16 and all us fall in love with the singer.
Glad I got to see all their small venue shows here in the part of the U.S., including when they toured with Rasputina (What a great combo!) Really a great band in both studio and Live! Thanks so much for this great post!!
