Congress is designated the legislative body by the Constitution. That's what Geithner was implying, and he didn't spell it out because he thought it was obvious (he said "under the laws of the land," which means under the Constitution and other laws made in accordance with the Constitution). Congress legislates, the Supreme Court rules on constitutionality. Bachmann and Hannity either don't understand this simple fact, or they're willfully ignoring it.

kingsdun, the Constitution IS the ONLY reason the US is best country EVER. I grew up in a country very similar to the US in every way (natural resources, great people etc). The only difference is my birth country did not have the guidelines of the Constitution of the US to keep powers balanced and the people involved. Nobody expects anyone to solve a country's problem is 100 days. It is naive to think that giving up the the US Constitution we would be better off either.

If Bachmann thinks it's unconstitutional, why doesn't she challenge the law passed by Congress?
