nice truck. your trying to make it sound meaner than it actually is by having too low of an idle. your engine will last longer with a better idle speed... low idle= low oil pressure= KABOOOOOOM

GREAT looking ride.... Thing sounds bad ass too... I've got a 65 Chevy C20 that sounds a bit like that... Not quite that much of a lope...but it sounds good... But it's a 4000 pound truck.... You've got a 2200 pound truck with that kind of motor... INCREDIBLE power to weight ratio...

A low idle speed like that will kill a flat tappet cam, if thats what your running...needs bumped too at least 900rpms or so...just my 2 cents

yea the hood has to go, put a cowl on it ,, make it look sleek. and calm, and by the way a small radious air cleaner does nothing for breathing,, sounds like a rv cam, maybe a 268 or less.??? say 454 lift. i would also say its more like 300-350 hp,. you have a single plane intake on a small cam, what heads?? 1.94 or 2.02???

it dont take much to make 400hp with a 383. you can make 400hp with a comp XE268 cam, 10:1 compression, vortech heads, 750 holley, air gap intake, and headers. hell, if you use a roller block, you can run 9:1 compression, the lt4 hot cam, vortech heads, 750 holley, air gap intake, and headers and you have 416hp & 466ft.lbs with a pretty smooth idle.

edlebrock intake, an carb prob 750cfm, 400 cam, i cant tell if those are vortec heads, he has to have atleast 1.6 rockers in it, for the lift duration. this truck is an easy 400 hp!!! easy no doubt

how can you tell the lift of the camshaft by hearing it? thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard.. ive had .650" lift roller cams with only 214 degree's @ .050" . that cam idled smoooth and everyone though it was a very mild .400"+ lift cam until opened up and she was singing.. ive also had low .440" lift cams with 275 degree's @ .050" that sounded nasty nasty and everyone though it was like a .600"+ lift cam..... you can no guess the size by listening to it......
