I wouldn't call webos or android linux despite the fact that they are based on it it is incredibly difficult to port linux applications to android and webos. The only phone that actually runs linux and linux applications is the n900. The iPhone linux no it isn't it goes against what linux stands for and that's openess.
sorry dude if you are the kind of person thinking like a retart look i have computer store in peru and i sell like 30 to 50 laptops and what we do is to teach to customers the big advantage by using linux platform and the diference with windows , so after telling them and spreading all theinformation for radio broaadcasting this is the result the 80% of our sell is with linux platform . so now you should think about but linux is spreading and soon i will open 3 more computer stores " UBUNTU"

I got the new hd2 the other day. i think its still 6.1, but they do have a market place there, its doesnt have nearly as much as the iPhone or Android operating systems. But lets not forget, great things take time. I have an android phone as well, but windows is really busting its balls. It is an amazing piece of technology
The Idea was good but they messed it up...they should have made it more like windows 7 on the PC, faster,smoother & better than mobile 6.5 and all they had to do was put a nice interface over it the way HTC does

After years of owning windows mobile 5 thru 6.5 i switched to iphone.
Before the app store i never wanted to hear about apples iphone, but once it came into being i could no longer be satisfied with a phone that have great hardware (htc) that does nothing !!!

When my HTC with win 6.5 broke last week i didnt want to wait 3 weeks for it to be fixed and bought an iphone.
at first i was shocked as to how many useful apps i found.
the hardware sucks, i agree on that one, but with all the apps and games it made up for me and more.
windows 7 for a pc is by far the best os ive ever had.
only when it comes to a phone i think ms missed the train.
and im talking as a person who doesnt like mac or apple at all.
