No its not the characters are from Chinese History they are given Japanese names in this game Diao Chan's name in the game is Chousen and Lu Bu's name given by the Japanese developers is Housen.

They Changed the weapons to make the game more historically accurate (Weapon Wise).

For most characters, that's definitely the case. Whips and blender-blades weren't historically accurate battlefield weapons, though, so they decided to have a little fun with Lu Bu and others, I guess.

shin sangoku 5 and dynasty warriors 6 is the same thing because there was no japanese version of the orginal dynasty warriors(which was very different from 2-6) and its only for the 360 and ps3,cant you tell by the graphics? the ps2 cant handle that much.
