I seriously can't understand why there has 2 be such Hindu vs Muslim arguments over this movie. One of the main protagonists is MUSLIM!! He's put his life on the line for justice and to save the lives of innocent ppl. So clearly there is no hate against Islam being shown. Which is exactly what Vivek's character says near the end!

.....they have tried hard, but i'm not happy with the concept of religion - these are not true colours of Islam and there's nothing to do with bombings, although I liked the situation during the debates "...we will...as soon as you promise to leave ours...". I seriously can't understand why there has 2 be such Hindu vs Muslim arguments over this movie. One of the main protagonists is MUSLIM!! He's put his life on the line for justice and to save the lives of innocent ppl. So clearly there is no hate against Islam being shown. The point to be made is that regardless of background or religion, extremism is extremism, and that true religious following does not justify murder! Which is exactly what Vivek's character says near the end!

why was this movie considered a flop ??? It does a far better job of explaining the difference between extreme muslims and assimilated muslims that My Name is Khan .. the character of Vivek Oberoi is an example of the thousands of muslims in America that are against the extremists and are just trying to live their lives peacefully without judgement in European countries. It reminds the people not to consider all muslims the same and osterisize those who have done nothing wrong just great movie!

I truly don't understand the comments about how the movie portrays Muslims as bad people. What about Riyaad? Isn't he a Muslim in this movie? He definitely isn't a bad person and indeed said something correctly. I think the movie is great and if you just watch it from a more open-minded and unbiased perspective, you will see that the movie is not trying to say that all Muslims are bad.

i loved the movie Bollywood has advanced a lot since last movie I've seen for them like 14 years ago i'd say this movie doesn't affect or attack Islam it's explains the reasons of revenge whether it's for Muslims or not but still they kinda killed the line between the real Muslim and those ppl cause a true Muslim would never justify killing and would never say i'll do this and this is the will of Allah !!

Don't for get that Vivek is the hero in this and he is Muslim. In the car crash, all the cops die of a single bullet wound. yet he survives. Get real. The point is show the difference between vivek's character and saif's character, once who sees and practices Islam as it should be and one who kills in the name of a religion he doesn't truly understand.

.....they have tried hard, but i'm not happy with the concept of religion - these are not true colours of Islam and there's nothing to do with bombings, although I liked the situation during the debates "...we will...as soon as you promise to leave ours...". Most of the scenes are completely out of concepts of Islam and great many contradictions. Seems to me that the scenario is not more than another attempt to make profit and "one sided" approach. There's no meaning but effects and shootings.

this was a good movie!!! i LOVE what vivek said "it's not allah's will, just excuses" SO TRUE <3 one thing i didnt like was that they never showed conflict between ehsaan and avantika's love with religion becuz she was hindu, so wouldnt it cause problems? would have loved to see that side of the movie, too. but overall was a good movie... :)

Need not have been set in US. Some phony sounding dialog copied out of D-grade Lifetime Channel movies. Kareena was made up to look like any Hollywood star playing NYite: chicly emaciated. And is it that easy to get your husband a teaching post at your univ? Or giving pregnancy as an excuse for a no show instructor? (Surely she was not tenured yet.) Should do research before writing story/scenes. The one true sounding thing?: Terrorists derive sadistic pleasure. All the begums acted well.
