Marvel would be Thor DC Superman IMage Invincible and Wildstorm The Confessor. As you can see i usually like characters that can fly although writer usually write characters as taking this abillity for granted i think thor and suuperman appreciate hoe special it is an invincible apreciates all his powers.

He's also the character who I'm always happy when he shows up.

Also, during the Civil War, Spidey's opinions reflected mine the whole time as he started with Tony, and had second thoughts as he saw what was going on.

Frankly with DC, my guy, like as in the foremost guy, bar none, is Redhood. Followed by Catwoman, Cassandra (the third batgirl), Rhas Al Gules daughter, and Impulse.

For marvel it's obviously Daredevil, because 'Man Without Fear' by Frank Miller was my first legimate introduction to the hard boiled essence of super vigilantes. The second is Spiderman, because to me he's essentially the middle ground guy for everyone who can't inexpicably be superman like superman is or who can't man up and shell out to be Batman. Also his incentives as a hero stem from guilt and regret, whereas Daredevil's stem from revenge and once impotent disgust. They're two extremes.

The only reason I ever got subscriptions to comics was because of the lack of shops around me and I loved Spider-man (JMS was on at the time). What I hated was that I would get shit that I didn't want if my book was canceled and if I didn't like the book anymore, I was stuck til it ran out.

I don't read enough Marvel (out of financial reasons) to comment on Marvel's characters. On the (non-cape) DC side, I'm pretty close to saying the Question (Vic), but I feel kind of the same towards him as you do to Daredevil. Other than that, the only DC Superhero I have good enough of a grasp on the character to outright say that I like is Superman. Characters I'd consider but haven't read enough of yet include Aquaman, Hawkman, the Martian Manhunter, Booster Gold, and maybe Adam Strange.

This might sound weird, but I think you bond with charaters that have similer personalites with you. I'm an out going person. My guys are Iceman and Spiderman (pre-OMD). I say pre-OMD. Not because it's popular to hate it, but because he lost his happy go luckyness. I like charaters that joke in the face of danger. Anyway, to answer your question. My guys are Iceman, Spiderman and maybe Green Arrow. Green Arrow is my Iron Man.
