@gpgab971 how do you mean modern? All shiny and sounds crap? Valves may be old, but they usually sound better than tiny transistor amps imho. Just cos it's old doesn't mean it's bad. BTW, all of this gear is new stuff, not from the 50s and 60s.

And yes, a turntable can MOST certainly be part of a modern hi fi setup - I'm using a Clearaudio Champion Level II myself and it rocks - easily betters my digital front end (DPA PDM 1 Series II DAC coupled to Denon 1510AE SACD player acting as a CD transport). It may be an old DAC, but it's a good'un.
