8:00, how is that not a goal? From the overhead view, you can see the puck is still going towards the back of the net when Volchenkov pushes the puck out with his hand. In the shot at 8:00 it is just about entirely over the line, and the guy with the glove pushing it away doesn't even have his hand there yet. Was definitely a goal, but oh well.

That is a goal. There is no way Timonen was blocking his path. If so they would have called goalie interference afterward when the Flyers touched the puck up. That is a BS call but that is the way of the NHL and its referees.

Sorry to burst you guy's bubble but, NO GOAL!! Yes, thats right.  During the shot Timonen is in the crease blocking the goaltenders path to move about the crease. Don't believe me? Check rule 69 of the NHL rulebook. Read it and weep. Sorry guys, but as much as you'd like to believe it was a goal, it wasn't.. Good call by the guys in Toronto.

@BruinsBrawler603 That rule is meant for someone who stands in the crease and blocks the goalie's ability to move, not for someone who is shooting the puck.

More importantly, Timonen does not block the goalie's path whatsoever. Pause the video at 1:25. You can clearly see that an Ottawa player is between Timonen and the goalie, so it would be impossible for Kimmo to block the goalie's path.

I can't believe how dumb someone can be. Just watch the video before you comment on it next time.

@Sapunka16 This was an extremley controversial all. The officials even stated after the game that was the reason they ruled it no goal. Regardless of what anyone else saw. Thats just how it ended up. I could see an arguement either way. He still wasn't supposed to be in the crease. You could see him try to get out of the crease before the shot but he wasn't quick enough.
