moisturize her hair since it is very brittle and dry but also do it and a short amount of time so we dont use the whole time she is with us doing her hair. also she has tight curls also is there any way that i could make it where she could wear her hair down in curls without it being an afro? i just think her hair is beautiful and i just want to show her how beautiful her hair is, she thinks her hair is ugly and wants to relax it as soon as possible ( mind you she is 6 so not happening)

My hair is so tightly coiled and all it does is stick straight up :( I can't get it to lay down for my life.
i wish that my curls would stay defined after i wash and run the gel through. when my hair dries it turns into a matted crunchy afro :( I will have to try this gel because the one I have leaves a green resedue...not cute...but it looks just like the eco styler gel

@Lexia01 lol ur dumb. there's all kinds of gels. most gels have a high amount of chemicals and alcohol that's what dries it out and dryness causes breakage. that's why u get a gel with ALL natural ingredients silly.. like kinky curly. u need a gel strictly for natural hair n you can tell the difference. did u really think all gel was the same? wow.. ur not really in to hair related things are u? i mean being a girl u should know certain things..

I like this style but does it not leave ur hair wet or damp, my concern is that when it's cold and I go outside with my hair I can get sick and would I not have to wash it more often to keep it from breaking and having a lack of moisture when it dries?
if you like ecostyler, you will LOVE long aid activator gel! it can also be found most places (i've bought it from walmart & walgreens) & it's pretty inexpensive. i've tried both & the long aid activator gel is much more moisturizing & leaves my hair much softer & shinier. i have 4a type hair & so far this is the best product for defining my curls. i use the same method of parting sections & "raking" it through. try it! :)

Hi there I'm amazed watching your video, at the moment I'm struggling to have my hair grown, did some treatment and only after 3 month I'm seeing results. I did use extensions for 2 month to void using chemicals and it does look wonderful and strong now. My questions is isn't damaging to use hair jell? And the other problem is I find most of afro hair products with a horrible smell sometimes it can be embarrassing. Any recommendations? xx

thats how mine looks in the back, but i have yet to cut the perm off the front. my hair grows snail slow on the sides, so i'm maiting patiently bfore finishing the big chop.
Since my transition I have been on the hunt for styles. I've dozens of videos but yours really gave the simpliest and quickest styles without a whole lot product. What if your hair is curly when it gets wet then it poofs up and it all dry and kinky and whatnot once it dries? Will this still work on that type of hair? And does it work on long hair??
I love the Eco styler rake method also however I hate the cruchy feel and look after it dries. Does this happen to you or am I just using too much gel? It's been an issue for over a year now lol but I still love the initial results with my curls falling free and moist
I think I may have to try Eco Styler gel. I've heard so many good things about it. I usually use KCCC for my wash and goes, and that stuff is expensive.

Just had my big chop 3 weeks ago and although no negative comment, no positive either which was a blow and different from when i just fix a weave or braids. I'm holding on because my hair basically said 'enough' of all the perming and relaxers. I need to just maintain the moisture and curls and i'll be fine. I'm loving my natural hair!
Okay so I have been natural since I was born nd now i'm 18.. lolz.. But I've been a "weave hear" [as some ppl will call it] since my mom let me put weave in my hair.. I have really soft and manageable hair [when it's wet] but my problem is idk what to do with my natural hair.. what do you use for edges because thats my main problem !

Gel is a bad idea, if you do your hair in the morning by midday it looks terrible. Gel is also bad for your hair if you don't wash it out and can also allow other smells get into your hair making it not smell very nice. You're better off getting a moisturizer, not combing your hair for like 3 weeks (that's what I do) and then the curls come up naturally after about 2-3 days. Then after 3 weeks brush it all out and repeat the process. I have like 3C hair I think.
I was wondering what you do when you go to bed at night to maintain your wash an go. How often to you repeat the process. I'm trying to do things as easy as possible. Thanks so much for all your videos. Very helpful. And I love your hairstyles they seem so fly!!

I love the Eco styler rake method also however I hate the cruchy feel and look after it dries. Does this happen to you or am I just using too much gel? It's been an issue for over a year now lol but I still love the initial results with my curls falling free and moist

I think I may have to try Eco Styler gel. I've heard so many good things about it. I usually use KCCC for my wash and goes, and that stuff is expensive.

question iv been tryna find out, i hear people say you can train hair to have a curly defn... i mean i have 4c hair thats just curly all over kinda lika a doll with very bad hair, or how they say like a mop on the head... anyway, how can i train my hair to start having a curly defn that stays, doesnt wash out or go straight during the day... like for the rest of my life!!!!

I love your videos. I am a mature lady who after many many years decided to go natural. The first video you did helped me tremendously! I did a short perm style in Nov 2010 and when it began to grow out I decided I wanted to go natural. I did my big chop myself. Watched tons of videos and read many articles. I wanted my hair to look nice but I wanted to care for it myself. So here I am getting the hang of it . Thank you young lady, I love your style!!!! Keep making these videos!!!!

Hello!!! I am 10 months post Relaxer and not even a month post bc or completely natural. However, my hair is about this length right now. I have been "you-tubing" for almost the entire time and in one night, with your help, my whole sense of faith has been restored! Not only is your hair gorgeous but your make up is totally to die for! See , i love yur hair . . when you wash yur hair it's curly. Im 17 and i just went natural in December, i have my lil TWA but it's like the length of yours in yur braidout results video. and it's like i have course hair, i just don knw what to do with it other than twist it at night and twist it out in the morning.

Just had my big chop 3 weeks ago and although no negative comment, no positive either which was a blow and different from when i just fix a weave or braids. I'm holding on because my hair basically said 'enough' of all the perming and relaxers. I need to just maintain the moisture and curls and i'll be fine. I'm loving my natural hair!

Okay so I have been natural since I was born nd now i'm 18.. lolz.. But I've been a "weave hear" [as some ppl will call it] since my mom let me put weave in my hair.. I have really soft and manageable hair [when it's wet] but my problem is idk what to do with my natural hair.. what do you use for edges because thats my main problem !

Gel is a bad idea, if you do your hair in the morning by midday it looks terrible. Gel is also bad for your hair if you don't wash it out and can also allow other smells get into your hair making it not smell very nice. You're better off getting a moisturizer, not combing your hair for like 3 weeks (that's what I do) and then the curls come up naturally after about 2-3 days. Then after 3 weeks brush it all out and repeat the process. I have like 3C hair I think.
