I love how the roles are reversed in this scene. Usually its Jane asking Lisbon for something or messing with her. In this scene its Lisbon asking for the apple, normally a characteristic that Jane normally holds on the show.

@polara1se well uhhh.... wouldent be as cute or funny as you would think.... seeing as when jane meet lisbon he was still married and his wife and child were still alive and jane ended up in CBI as a psychic consultant for the red john case.... after the tv interveiw things didnt go too well... and uh the pilot is jane returning to the CBI after a mental breakdown.....

As far as I know, after his wife and child died and he rehabilitated in the psychiatric hospital he set out to get a job which would get him information on Red John and that's how he ended up at the CBI and met Lisbon and the team.

@Feralious No, no see in either the pilot of the second episode I recall Jane having a flashback to the interveiw because of which redjohn killed his wife and child, and in that interview he talked about having already been on the CBI team working to track down red john that team of course being the one that remained to be on the case when Jane returned to work AFTER his psycologic break down. It's all infrencing for sure but I doubt the case would have changed hands during that amount of time.

@SrPantalonesdefuego I remember the scene you're talking about, I've rewatched it and this is what Jane says: the police (not the CBI) asked him to get a psychic 'fix' on him. So I don't think he was part of the team then, he didn't even really work on Red John but just blabbered some psychic nonsense to try and 'understand' him. I don't say it's impossible that he already knew Lisbon, but the way I see the first episode and the interaction between him and the team it's like he barely knew them.

@Feralious I agree with you, I never got the impression he knew the team or Lisbon when he was married. From everything I've read about the show and from what he said, he joined up with Lisbon's group after his family was killed. I'm pretty sure the Red John case has traveled around a bit from this unit to that unit, just like it did when Sam Bosco got it, trying to see if there was someone out there who could catch him.

Honestly one of the best Jisbon moments yet. (There will be better ones when they FINALLY realise they are perfect for each other, but anyway...) I loved it when he said 'Well that was a big smile.' Just so cute! Ahh... This show makes me so happy. I analyse every little thing these two do relating to each other, it drives my family mad. :b
