I hope to find my birth mother one day. Maybe when I'm older and more emotionally mature to handle. I'm 19 right now, but I believe that one day I will.
My mom put up her son for adoption when she was sixteen. Closed adoption. I have a half brother out there somewhere. My mom is searching for him, but no luck so far. I hope one day I can meet him. I wonder if he thinks he might have half siblings like me. I wish we could find him, but my dad isn't all for it at all. wish me luck.
My mom prefers to call the adoption as giving a gift to another family. The family that had adopted my sister, couldn't have children of their own. It made it easier for my mother to cope with her loss.
Loved this. But please...a hand-knitted sweater is a "gift" -- a baby is not a "gift" you give to someone else. I'm so touched by your reunion video!!!! Blessings to all of you.
This is so beautiful. I am finding it so hard not to cry right now. I found out in late January of this year, that my birth mum was searching for me. We've been in contact now, since late March. We've exchanged many emails, and talked on the phone twice. She's been over in the Netherlands since 30 years. Eventhough I'm in the process of applying for my Passport, my birth mum and her husband are planning for a prospective visit from me.
This so makes me want to cry. I reunited with my birth daughter last year and it was JUST LIKE THIS!!! Lots of tears. :) Congratulations...you are all so blessed
FYI on this video~ June 11th was the two month anniversary meeting after my elder sister found my lil sister's ad search for her. My big sister had been given as a gift in adoption in 1965 to a childless couple who loved her from the start, and provided what our mom couldn't at the time. This was their first touch in 43 years. Mom was not even able to count her fingers and toes at birth, a must due for her. We had the best weekend of our lives. Together now Forever.

@lowsodiumfreakss I'm sorry, but your brother would be too young to be my half brother. Sorry.
