Thanks for this Jezza. The four wheel drive system on the X Type is very good. Pity a lot of people don't consider this a proper Jaguar! The face lift model and the diesals only get front wheel drive the purest X Types are the 2.5 and 3 litre petrols 4WD. I would not like to try this in my XJ-S!

The car in the UK comes as stanard with front wheel drive, but you can spec it with 4WD which is what the car in this clip and was later used on Top Gear had.

There was talk of one but Jag never had the cash or time to make it. It would have been amazing though Jag has also accounced recently that it wont for the near future be making a X-Type replacement
