that happened to me but i just turned the ps3 off straight away, just leave some room behind the ps3 and it wont overheat, if u leave things in about 10cm from the back of the ps3 it WILL overheat

I have the 80g and it does that on some old PS2 games, then it goes away after a while, I never like to do this but I put my PS3 on the side instead on the bottom, and that helped with its ventillation and heat. It tends to overheat ALOT. That in itself made a difference in the way that the PS2 games were played. Hope that helps you! Good LUCK!

You can do that anyway onlt on 40 gig turn off the ps3 by the back switch hold the eject button turn it back on it will sound like an xbox for a while btw

Well 1st of all, move your damn PS3. You have it in a TERRIBLE spot. You're supposed to have a least 4 inches of clearance on each side. The poor thing can't even breathe in that POS thing you have it in. Move the damn thing, and the fans won't be so loud ya fuckin idiot
