Its a brave sailor thats goes into the North Atlantic in winter on a cruise ship. I would want to do the line service on a liner. The two Royal Mail Steamers for me please. QE2 or QM2

Good vid, I can see the balcony of the cabin we had on a recent voyage to the Baltic, right next to the lifeboat, but it was flat calm all the way, thankfully. I fully agree with other coments that this ship is not an ocean liner, it's just a carnival cruise ship dressed up as Cunard, nice though. I have crossed the Atlantic on QM2, that really is an Ocean going ship fit for the purpose

QV has to take it slow on the Atlantic. The Vista hulls are not capable of handling these trips like QE2 could. QV literally has to slow down in weather like this as she does not handle the stress well. On her maiden voyage she forced QE2 to slow down as QV could not travel as hoped in rough weather. In terms of the North Atlantic she is a cruise ship taking a beating..it is Carnival's hopeless plan that people don't notice how bad this ship performs in the open water.
